Jinshanling Great Wall is located in Luanping County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, adjacent to Miyun County, Beijing, 130 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing.
Qi Jiguang, a patriotic general of the Ming Dynasty, presided over the construction of the Great Wall when he was the commander in chief of Jizhen Town (1567-1586). It is the essence of the Great Wall, known as the "Great Wall, Jinshan is unique". The barrier wall, text brick and block stone are the three wonders of Jinshanling Great Wall, known as the "paradise for photography lovers".
The surrounding mountains, streams, deep cliffs and steep cliffs are strange and precipitous. The architectural situation varies from mountain to mountain. There are 67 enemy towers, two beacon towers and five passes along the line. It is the best preserved section of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. The construction of the Great Wall here is complex, and there are many enemy towers, usually 50-100 meters long. The wall is based on huge stones, 5-8 meters high, and has various forms and characteristics. There are brick and wood structures, brick and stone structures, single-layer structures, double-layer structures, both flat roofs, dome roofs, canopies, quadrangular drill ceilings and octagonal caisson roofs, which can be described as one floor in one form, known as the "Great Wall, Jinshan unique".
