2、 Find out the location of all instruments and operating systems
After entering the cab, first adjust the appropriate position of the driver's seat, and then get familiar with the role of each instrument and the position of the operating parts from left to right. In order to master the position of instruments and operating parts, first, you can read the vehicle manual and make clear one by one according to the manual. Especially for imported vehicles, there are many auxiliary instruments, which are difficult to understand at once, so you should check them carefully. Second, in the absence of a manual, you can directly learn from the owner to prevent distractions caused by random searching and touching during driving. Especially the position of each gear, horn, wiper, light switch, automatic door lock, instrument and various warning signal lights.
3、 Start the vehicle and operate it by yourself
Before going on the road, you should operate the operating parts mentioned above several times by yourself, which is not only helpful to remember their positions, but also can check their working conditions, and more importantly, it can avoid confusion during driving. For example, some light control switches are screwed, some are pulled, and some are pushed; Some of the reverse gears are pushed directly, others are pushed down first and then pushed; Some of the wiper switches are on the steering wheel and some are on the instrument panel... These can only be applied freely through a few practical operations to avoid errors in driving after travel.
4、 Start the vehicle and check the instrument and warning signal carefully
After the previous steps are clarified, carefully observe the operation of various instruments and warning signal devices when the engine is running, especially the indication of odometer and fuel gauge, engine water temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter. Many vehicles have used warnings instead of various instrument pointers. Be careful to observe the flashing warning signal lights and get familiar with their location, purpose and operation. Every signal displayed on the dashboard reminds you of some problems that need attention.
