1) Product activation
The activation of CMGE products is based on Windows 10 development, and the activation server is located in the Shenzhou Netcom data center in China.
2) System patches and upgrades
The system patch and upgrade server of CMGE products are located in China and provided by China Netcom Technology Co., Ltd.
3) Digital certificate
CMGE V0 is built with the root certificate of the digital certificate authority designated by the Chinese government.

5) System simplification
Removed/disabled the office, personal assistant, entertainment and life applications and cloud based services provided by Windows:
a. The following apps/services were removed:
3D Builder, weather, getting help, messages, drawing 3D Microsoft Office Hub、 Games (Solitaire XBox）、Microsoft Sticky Notes、Office OneNote、 People, photos, alarm clock and clock, camera, One Connect, feedback center, map, voice recorder, Microsoft store, music, movies and TV, Xiao Na, EDGE browser, Windows Defender, etc.
b. The following apps/services are disabled:
Fax, Windows Ink, Remote Assistance, Remote Desktop, Windows Media Player, Windows Hello, etc.

Major changes

Windows 10 China NetEase Government Edition (hereinafter referred to as CMGE) V2022-L is an operating system version customized and developed on the basis of Windows 10 21H2, in accordance with relevant Chinese laws, regulations and standards, and in response to the needs of Chinese professional fields.

1) Product activation

The activation of CMGE products is based on Windows 10 development, and the activation server is located in the Shenzhou Netcom data center in China.

Weather, getting help, tips, 3D viewer Office Hub、Microsoft Solitaire Collection、 Hybrid reality portal, OneNote, contacts Store Purchase App、 Wallet, alarm clock and clock, calendar, mail, feedback center, map, Microsoft Store, Xbox, Xbox Game Bar, Groove music, movies and TV, Edge, Quick Assist, etc.

b. The following apps/services are disabled:

Cortana、Windows Defender、Administrative Shares、Fax、Windows Media Player、Windows Hello、 Remote Desktop, Application Management, Connected User Experiences and Telemetry, Microsoft Account Sign in Assistant, Netlogon, Performance Logs&Alerts, Problem Reports and Solutions Control Panel Support, Remote Desktop Services UserMode Port Redirector, Windows Error Reporting Service, Windows Security Center Service Windows License Manager service, etc.

New features

Windows 10 China Netcom Government V2022-L and V2020-L use the same infrastructure and architecture, with more new features:

1) Integrate the self-developed "control center" to provide a unified access for system activation and update, as well as system information viewing and resource center access;

2) The unified activation client supports multiple scenarios, including factory pre activation, stock device activation, VDI activation, and batch activation;

3) Integrate the "Start Activation Client" entry in "Settings ->Update and Security ->Activation";

4) Support Intel 12 generation processor;

5) Integrated self-developed CMGE cumulative update offline installation tool CSUI;

6) Optimize system function updates, and users can choose to postpone the installation of function updates;

7) Simplify the OOBE process, and you can directly enter the system after completing the user account settings;

8) Optional functions are online and offline installation, including Net Framework 3.5, etc. See OPK_HOWTO 。

General description

1) Minimum system requirements:

• Processor: 1 GHz and above x64 compatible processor
• Memory: 2GB and above
• Hard disk: must contain at least one non removable hard disk with 32GB or more free space
• Graphics card: support DirectX 9 and above
• Display: 1024 x 768 resolution and above
• Network: must include at least one network connection option, such as Wi Fi or Ethernet adapter;

2) CMGE V2022-L or the hardware driver that does not include a few computers, please obtain it from the computer supplier after installation;

3) The remote desktop and file sharing functions are turned off by default in CMGE V2022-L. If this function needs to be turned on, you need to set the group policy to use it;

4) "Camera" and "Microphone" are not available under the factory default application privacy policy;

5) When Bitlocker is enabled, the way to back up the recovery key "Save to Microsoft Account" is not available.

Known problems

1) In the process of using CMGE, a dialog box like "Need a new application to open this ms get started" may pop up. Please ignore this message;

2) The "Reset" function of "Settings ->Applications ->Default Applications" is not available, which will cause the "Windows Settings" to flash back;

3) Some application related function buttons listed in "Major Changes → 5) System Simplification" may be reserved in the system, but these buttons are unavailable; These applications or functions include: Get started, messages, connections, Xbox，Windows to GO，Cortana，Windows Defender，Windows Hello， Remote desktop, Edge, contacts, maps, etc;

4) Affected by BitLocker status, sysprep may not work properly on some models; Please turn on BitLocker first, then turn it off and try again.

Upgrade to CMGE V2022-L

1) Currently, CMGE V2022-L only supports upgrading from CMGE V2020-L or V0-H to this version;

2) Support offline upgrade and online upgrade. For details, see Quick Guide Description of the upgrade part;

3) At least 20GB of free disk space is required before upgrading, and the system disk free space must be greater than 6GB;

4) After upgrading from CMGE V0-H to CMGE V2022-L, some new functions may be missing, such as new applications, features disabled in the version before the upgrade, etc.
