If you use Microsoft Edge browser and do not turn off Microsoft Copilot related functions, you may notice that the option of using Copilot to rewrite will automatically pop up after you select content in the input box or some other text areas after you update to the new version.
This option is not included in Windows 11 system, but provided by Microsoft Edge browser for users. Therefore, to disable this function, you need to go to Microsoft Edge browser to perform the operation.
Introduction to using Copilot rewriting function:
This function will send the content selected by the user to the Copilot server for identification, and then you can select different modes for rewriting, such as simplifying, expanding, adjusting the tone, and rewriting.
For some users who often need to write content or are active in various post bar communities, this function sometimes has some practical significance, but for most users, it may be a little uncomfortable for the toolbar to pop up every time they select it.
The following is the disable method:
Update to the latest version of Microsoft Edge browser, click the three points in the upper right corner to open settings, switch to language in settings, and then disable various options in writing help.
The rewriting function is to use composition (AI writing) on the Web. You can disable this option. The other two options include text prediction and Microsoft Checker. Users can decide whether to disable it according to their own needs.
