A very important purpose of learning is to build, not to learn. You need to build a cognitive framework of your own for the world.
With the cognitive framework, you can quickly see through the abstract logic behind the phenomenon after you see many phenomena. In the consulting industry, a very important ability is the ability to jump framework and model from the mind. When an entrepreneur comes to you for consultation, you should fully understand his situation in an hour and a half of communication, and then give useful suggestions. At this time, if there is no model in your mind, it is very terrible. You may have to ask him how you started your business? What do you think? You can't ask the key questions at all. When you have a framework, a model, and a structure in mind, you can immediately identify the product problem Marketing The problem or the channel problem? His question is about traffic, conversion rate, or customer price, repurchase rate? Only by pinpointing the problem can you help him solve it. The premise for this is that you must build a cognitive framework for the world.
I call it the tree of cognition.
How to build a cognitive tree? If you want to learn business, you should read the most classic business books first.
Such as Drucker, Mintzberg, and Gottler's marketing.
Use these classics to build a set of tree trunks to understand the business world. With the trunk, we can learn and input a lot.

My own method is to listen to books or lectures. In 2018, I spent 600 hours on learning.
In 2019, it will be 400 hours. This year, it is expected to exceed 1000 hours. The average day is 3 hours. I usually listen to books at double speed for three hours, which is actually equivalent to six hours of content. I bought almost every course and listened to it all. I even listened to some courses 3-4 times. There are about 2200 books that I get every day. I have listened to more than 1700 books. I get 1-2 books online every day, and I have to listen to 6 books every day. At this rate, I will listen to all the books I get every day in three months. Why do you listen like that? Because you don't know which book can bring you any value. Even if a book is about an area you have never been interested in, you may also get a lot of inspiration from it. For example, I heard teacher Xiong Yi talk about Zizhi Tongjian before. Let me read it myself. I may never pick up Zizhi Tongjian. But when I was talking to Xiong Yi, I got a great inspiration. One episode is about water attack, which uses the potential energy of water to attack the city. I got an enlightenment: the essence of war is the use of energy. Whoever has more energy will win the war more easily. In business, we often say that people are not responsible for the situation, but for the situation. In fact, this is also true in essence. Of course, I can hear that all of them are using fragmented time. For example, the time to walk to work, the time to go to the airport, the time to wash and eat in the morning, and so on. It doesn't matter if you are distracted sometimes. Keep listening. Because the most important thing is not to hear every word, but to input a lot of knowledge through your body. When all kinds of knowledge pass through your body, you will get some unexpected gains. You will find that all these encounters with new knowledge are really reunions after a long separation. If you want to input a lot, you should read as well as listen to books. Reading is a very important skill.
But before reading, you must understand one thing:
Our goal is not to read, but to learn the knowledge in books. Many people have an inexplicable sense of reverence for reading. I feel that when I read a book, I should read it carefully from beginning to end.
But in fact, books are just carriers of knowledge. And there are many views in books on the market. In fact, one article can explain them clearly.
When you read such a book, you should be able to read it quickly.
Every once in a while, the publishing house will send me some new books, hoping that I will write a recommendation preface.
But when I looked through them, I found that some books were not worth reading carefully. You just have to finish it quickly and know that it tells two or three points.
Of course, there are some books worth reading.
For example, four or five of the 20 books are worth reading.
I will look for the electronic version. Although many people think that reading must read paper books, what they want is the feeling of reading paper books.
But I think, read e-book More efficient. For example, I want to read a book about strategy.
Then I will find 7 or 8 best books on strategy in the market, put them on two monitor screens, and read them at the same time.
At this time, you are not reading along the author's ideas, but building a framework of strategy to read. When you read a particularly good chapter, you can also use the mouse to draw lines directly and automatically synchronize it to the impression notes. When I need these contents later, I just need to search for keywords in the impression notes to find them. This is what paper books can't do.
Therefore, try to read e-books instead of paper books.
With a lot of input, you need to start thinking and summarizing.
How to think and summarize?
Every time I am inspired, I will write down the fragmentary ideas.
Over time, with the accumulation of case More and more, these ideas become more and more perfect, and will be aggregated into a complete logic.
I will record these logics and ask my friends or I will write a clearly structured article and post it on the public account.
When articles on public accounts accumulate to a certain extent and articles on some topics are collected, they can be published as a book.
Every writing is a reflection and summary of input knowledge.
Besides writing, you should practice speaking.
To speak is to tell others.

You will find that you can't tell what you thought was particularly clear.
