Recently, I can't understand the Internet

Yesterday, Lao Yang in the group reported that the device at home was suddenly unable to access the Internet. After some troubleshooting, it was found that the DNS configured for the device was 114DNS. But his network could not ping the DNS.

I thought to myself, this is really ridiculous. I often use DNS. Unexpectedly, it will hang up? So I pinged the network myself. Unexpectedly, I didn't know it. After looking at the home network, I configured three groups of DNS, namely 119 DNSPOD, 114 DNS, and 223 Alibaba DNS. The default is 119, and the Internet access will not be affected.

So I opened ping.chinaz.com and entered 114.114.114.114. One minute later, the whole country became very popular.

 114DNS

My understanding is that this device is reliable and stable. I often use it. See the introduction on the official website:

 114DNS official website

Authorization is required to query address location

Manufacturer: ipip.net, which is often used for routing node tracking for a period of time. Just now, I wanted to make a comparison of an IP. This tool is more intuitive. I can see the approximate location information. Unexpectedly, it is now displayed“ Authorization is required to query address location ”, I don't know whether it is a problem with my computer's permissions or whether the software is obsolete.

  1. The shared dns of Tencent Cloud that I use now is pretty good. Ha ha ha

    1. Dnspod is also Tencent's

  2. IPip.net is not good enough. Many tools are used for nothing
Several updated and timely tools for checking IP addresses in China are basically stuck for free.
Cancel the free interface directly. After login, each IP address and account can only be checked several times a day.

114.114.114.114 The basic reason is that there is no money and the infrastructure has begun to be reduced.

    1. I used to do an address query based on the pure IP library, but I was killed by someone. The traffic ran out at once, and then I directly banned the query. I was afraid. This IP query is still a big market, but it is not paid much, and it is all wool pickers.
      114 dns, it's useless now

  3. 114.114.114.114 Forget it. The 2010 battle was OK, and the garbage behind it was not decent. When Google didn't quit China, it was 8.8.8.8 all over the country. Google followed 223.5.5.5 as soon as it retired from Alibaba, and then it was just like shit in just a few years. Every time there is a network failure, I see someone saying that when I change DNS to 114 or 223, I will directly label it as a garbage man and then black it. What kind of shit is still used as a treasure. Don't mention that this area has something to do with it. I have tested it all in Shaanxi, Beijing, Hebei, Guangdong, Heilongjiang and Sichuan. It's garbage.
In fact, the public DNS services in China are basically rubbish. I used 114 Alibaba Baidu DNSPodDNS to send oneDNSV2EX, and the DNS server of CNNIC even ran away. 114 Alibaba Baidu Tencent is basically a rubbish leader. It's OK to use their virtual machines to configure these DNS services. Public network individuals or enterprises are basically waiting to be disconnected. The most stable thing is that nobody can remember the oneDNS.
Not to mention that it is free. Paid services such as ip have been hacked by Ali all the time. Ali bought a paid offline database, and then changed its name to Alibaba IP database for sale after packaging. Big companies are so straightforward when they play rascals. Secondary operators like Dr. Peng directly sent the DNS of Beijing Unicom in those years, but Unicom made a white list in anger, and many office buildings in Beijing were directly disconnected.
In addition, even if DNS is good, it is useless. Many CDNs are broken. After returning to Heilongjiang, I often fail to open JD with a high probability, because Firefox has had a bug that hasn't been fixed for many years. I always thought it was the pot of Firefox. It was not until the beginning of this year that I found that the availability rate of CDN in the northeast region of JD was less than 20% in some time periods, which has nothing to do with browsers and DNS, but the DNS in the northeast region will resolve to the CDN in the northeast region of JD, Finally, I can only use the DNS resolution of Beijing Unicom to write the host locally to access JD normally.
Anyway, this kind of rotten elephant has been nearly 10 years, and it is not suddenly like this. I am used to it, and I am not shocked.

    1. Raise your posture. This comment is wonderful.

    2. The DNS of CNNIC was also used many years ago, but now it has run away, which is very absurd.
The relatively small DNS you mentioned has never been heard of. After checking, it is still safe. I don't know whether there is a problem with my local network. There is a certain probability that I can't resolve the IP address, and occasionally it will timeout.
For JD's CDN, some nodes are really crouching, and I remember that I have tried to fail to access them. It is estimated that a node failure causes the failure of access, which is now uncommon.

      1. One DNS has this virtue when it is most stable. There is a probability that it cannot be resolved, and there is a probability of timeout.
Because I tested the namebench source code before Google Code failed. In recent years, the DNS given by local operators is the most reliable in the country (Beijing Unicom/Guangzhou Telecom/Heilongjiang Unicom, of course, secondary operators and some provinces engaged in hijacking are hopeless), The speed, stability and accuracy of edge resolution of public DNS are far from those of operators' DNS. This situation is completely reversed from that of more than a decade ago. In the past, the company's products were made too many times because of the operators' DNS, so that I, as a tester, submitted Bind's source code to the code base to resolve domain names from. root down in the company's product equipment.
What happened to your website yesterday? You always reported 403 errors. I was thinking that if I can't open it today, I will send you an email.

        1. The DNS of Guangdong Telecom was used about 15 years ago, and I forgot it if you didn't mention it.
Yesterday 403 was because the traffic exceeded the limit. It should have exceeded the limit the day before yesterday. I wanted to reset the traffic on the first day after several days. Finally, I couldn't help but find someone to increase the traffic. 30G per month is a little short

          1. Guangdong Telecom is the best broadband in China, which can't be compared with other provinces.
My traffic is 10.51 GB in recent 30 days according to Cloudflare, and 6.51 GB is not cached. However, in the past 7 days and on the VPS side, the daily average is almost 1G. Of course, the DDoS for my website has not stopped in recent years, but my website has traffic in January, so I don't take it seriously.

            1. Normally, 30G is enough for me. I just made a silly move and consumed my traffic

    3. Onedns has been used before, but I think the delay is too high, so I don't use it directly. I have used dnspod alidns, but I still think the local dns of the operator is the most stable!

  4. reply springwood springwood

When I first entered Japan in March the year before last, I found many app networking errors when I opened my laptop in the hotel. It took me a while to find out that the reason was that a custom DNS (like 8.8.8.8 and others) was set in China. It was normal to delete the custom DNS and use the default one.

The world believes that the default DNS should be used, and only China needs special settings.

    1. The setting is because the operators are unreliable. Many years ago, they always issued disorderly dns

  5. I use Google,

    1. Can we still serve steadily now

  6. In the era of wool collection, it seems that it is not normal for anyone not to collect wool.

    1. If you don't collect wool, can you afford wool

  7. I have never known why the device dns is, why the domain name dns server is, and why the device does this. It seems that all my devices are automatically acquired, and the default is unchanged.

    1. Configure the specified DNS, that is, which resolution line to use. For example, if the website has a CDN, different DNS can be used to go to different nodes. With different DNS, the refresh time is different. For example, just after the domain name resolution is modified, different DNS shows differences, and some still point to the old DNS

  8. I use Alibaba Cloud, and everything is normal.

    1. 223 That? I can also use

  9. One is the default dns. I haven't really studied the use of this device dns. It is necessary to cross the wall?

    1. A long time ago, four 8s were configured to open Google, which was blocked soon. In fact, it is the resolution line used. For example, the website has a CDN, and different DNS can be used to go to different nodes

  10. I use Alibaba Cloud's default dns. I bought Alibaba Cloud paid dns once before and didn't feel any difference.

    1. The NS you mentioned is a domain name, which is different from the DNS of users' computers

  11. reply Hit the VIP Hit the VIP

I used 8.8.8.8 all the time, no problem!

  12. It has been used since Alibaba Cloud issued DNS

    1. Stable, low PING value and fast speed are the first choice

  13. There's nothing to choose from in China

    1. The dwarf can also choose a slightly taller one
