Recently, the 9th Asia Pacific Tea Awards (green tea group, yellow tea group, oolong tea group, reprocessed tea/substitute tea group) and Xian'an Gui Tea Famous and Excellent Tea Competition were held in Xianning, Hubei Province. Hanzhong City's "Hanzhong Honey Yellow" won the Silver Award of Yellow Tea Group for the first time.

The "Asia Pacific Tea Awards" is an international event jointly organized by tea administrations and industry associations in major tea producing and selling countries around the world. A total of 584 tea samples were collected in this competition. After preliminary screening, 386 tea samples finally entered the sensory evaluation link, of which 112 tea samples won awards, including 83 green tea samples, 8 yellow tea samples, 12 oolong tea samples, and 9 reprocessed tea/substitute tea samples. The "Hanzhong Honey Yellow", which was evaluated by three tea enterprises in Hanzhong City, won the silver award in the yellow tea group.

In recent years, Hanzhong City, based on its ecological resource endowment and industrial development goals, has made every effort to build the tea industry into a single champion industry in the province, making the tea industry a characteristic advantageous industry, a green ecological industry and a key industry for rural revitalization in Hanzhong. "Hanzhong Mihuang" is a new type of yellow tea with the characteristics of "honey yellow soup, flower honey aroma" and "flower honey charm", which is created by the city's tea industry development center and the tea research institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences through joint research, taking the fresh leaves of tea trees in the high latitude, high altitude, cloudy, pure natural ecological tea garden as raw materials, drawing on a variety of domestic tea making technologies and special processing. Its shape is curly and even, its soup color is yellow and bright, its nectar is fragrant and lasting, and its taste is mellow and sweet. It has the unique quality of yellow tea, green tea, black tea, and green tea, and is deeply loved by consumers.
