According to an article in Iran's Tehran Times on December 12, the Chinese Spring Festival has opened a window of tourism opportunities for Iran's Golden Triangle of Tourism. Moslem Shujay, an official of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft of Iran, said, "Yazid Province, Fars Province and Isfahan Province are considered as the golden triangle of tourism in Iran and can benefit from the Chinese New Year holiday. We hope to host activities and joint projects to receive Chinese tourists."
Shujay made the above remarks at a meeting held in Tehran, attended by Shalbafeiyan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft of Iran, and governors of several provinces.
Shalbafeiyan said that one of the measures that can be taken is to seek assistance from the industrial and economic sectors to promote the development of local tourism. He also said that these three provinces have long been traditional destinations for Chinese citizens to visit Iran. "You can use the Spring Festival holiday to receive Chinese tourists," he said
Yazid Governor Fatemi said that, considering that Yazid, Fars and Isfahan are important cultural tourism destinations in Iran and also the main destinations of most tourists, and the national and international certified cultural relics and historic sites are mainly located in these provinces, it is necessary to open a new chapter of cooperation.
