Iran Mahan Airlines
Mahan Airlines is a private airline in Iran. It was founded in 1991 and began operations in June 1992. Its headquarter is located in Tehran.
Mahan Airlines is mainly based at Khomeini International Airport and Mehrabad International Airport, mainly operating regular flights in Iran and international flights to the Far East, the Middle East, Central Asia and Europe.
Before taking Mahan Airlines personally, I always thought it was Iran's national airline, because it was the only airline that opened direct flights from China to Tehran, and there were flights in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
When I went to Italy recently, I finally had a chance to experience this mysterious airline. Only then did I know that Mahan Airlines is privately owned, but it is indeed the largest airline in Iran.

There are four sections in the whole flight, Beijing Tehran Milan round trip, all of which are four engine Airbus 340-600 aircraft. It takes about 8 hours from Beijing to Tehran, about 5 hours from Tehran to Milan, and 3 hours transit time at Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport in the middle.
The price comparison on OTA has been checked before. Among the connecting flights from Beijing to Milan, the price of Mahan Family is the most affordable except for the fighting nations. In contrast, Mahan's four engine plane is much more stable. The rarely visited airport of Tehran, a thousand years old ancient country, is also more attractive, and does not need transit visa. The three hour connecting time is just right, Business class passengers can also check in 40 kilograms of luggage for free.
