IPv4 and IPv6
IPv4 and IPv6 are quite different in many aspects. This chapter will describe the differences between IPv4 and IPv6 in terms of address space, header format, addressing, automatic addressing, security, QoS and scalability, and understand the benefits of IPv6 from the differences between them.
The IPv4 address length is 32 bits, and there are 2 ^ 32 assignable addresses. The IPv6 address length is expanded from 32 bits of IPv4 to 128 bits, and there are 2 ^ 128 addresses. It can even be said that the number of IPv6 addresses is enough to allocate an address to every grain of sand in the world.
