Applied psychology is a major in psychology  
The major of applied psychology cultivates applied composite talents who are fully developed in morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor, meet the needs of China's socialist modernization, have the basic theories and skills of psychology, and are capable of applying psychological knowledge and technology in the market economy to make achievements in the fields of education, economy, culture, health and social work. That is, to train specialized talents engaged in mental health education, psychological consultation, human resource management and marketing in schools, enterprises and institutions at all levels and in various social institutions. The major has established three core competence modules of "mental health education", "psychological consultation and treatment" and "human resource management", focusing on the training and cultivation of practical ability to improve the comprehensive quality of students

 

The curriculum system is the carrier of the talent training mode. The construction of the curriculum system is the autonomy of colleges and universities, and also the basis of reflecting the characteristics of schools. All colleges and universities can combine their own talent training objectives and training specifications, according to the formation law of students' knowledge, quality and ability and the internal logical order of the discipline, build a curriculum system that reflects the discipline advantages, direction characteristics or regional characteristics, and can meet the needs of students' diversified development in the future.
The credits of applied psychology courses account for about 50% of the total credits, of which the basic courses and professional courses account for about 30% of the total credits. The specific name, teaching content, teaching requirements, corresponding class hours, credits and other teaching arrangements of the course shall be determined by each university independently. At the same time, relevant elective courses reflecting the characteristics of the school, region or industry shall be set up.
The proportion of practical courses in the total credits shall not be less than 25%, and the psychological experimental teaching shall not be less than 80 class hours, focusing on the cultivation of students' innovative consciousness and practical ability. We should build a multi-level experimental practice teaching system, such as the basic experimental course of psychology, the teaching experiment of the core course of psychology, and the internship and practice of applied psychology. In addition to completing the basic contents of experimental teaching, special experiments or special practice projects should be built to meet the needs of training special talents. All colleges and universities should build a complete practice (practical training) and innovative training system, determine the relevant content and requirements, and complete the relevant teaching content in multiple ways and forms according to the talent training objectives. The applied psychology specialty should improve the teaching requirements of practice (practical training), strengthen the teaching of practical training, and the teacher training specialty should strengthen the teaching practice link to improve students' ability to adapt to future work. Through graduation thesis (design) or college students' innovative experiment program, students have developed their initial ability to engage in scientific research or undertake specialized technical work.

  • General courses
In addition to the teaching contents stipulated by the state, the contents of humanities and social sciences, foreign languages, computer and information technology, sports, arts, etc. are determined by colleges and universities according to their school running orientation and talent training objectives.
  • Basic courses
Basic knowledge of natural science mainly includes mathematics, life science, etc. Mathematics mainly includes advanced mathematics, probability statistics, linear algebra, etc. Life science mainly includes physiology and neuroanatomy.
The history and current situation of relevant professional development must be taught when teaching the basic knowledge field and professional subject knowledge of the corresponding specialty.

The core knowledge base includes the basic principles of psychology, the historical development of psychology, the interaction between body and mind, the nervous system, the basic laws of the occurrence and development of individual psychology, the basic laws of group psychology, the basic manifestations and mechanisms of psychopathology, the measurement and statistical methods and techniques of psychological behavior, etc.
