The demonstration project has officially started construction on May 19, 2024, with a total investment of about 9.88 billion yuan. The design operation life of the demonstration project is 25 years, and the annual power generation is about 2234 million kWh after the formal operation. After the project is fully completed, it will be coupled with Jiangsu Tianwan Nuclear Power Base, which is controlled and managed by the company, to form a large clean energy base with a total installed capacity of more than 10 million kilowatts.

Invest and hold Qinshan Nuclear Power, Jiangsu Nuclear Power, Fuqing Nuclear Power, Hainan Nuclear Power, Sanmen Nuclear Power, Zhangzhou Energy, Liaoning Nuclear Power and other nuclear power bases in operation and under construction. Holding CNNC Huineng is responsible for the development of wind power, photovoltaic and other renewable energy, and entrusted with the management and construction of Xiapu Nuclear Power Base.
As of December 31, 2023, CNNC held 25 nuclear power units in operation with an installed capacity of 23.75 million kilowatts; Holding 15 units under construction and approved to be built, with an installed capacity of 17.565 million kilowatts, and the total installed capacity of nuclear power is 41.315 million kilowatts.

In the 2022 annual report, CNNC said that the layout of new projects at the agile end should be accelerated.
