Sichuan is the largest clean energy base in China, with the installed capacity of hydropower ranking first in the country year after year. There is a huge space for the development of clean energy such as wind energy and solar energy. The development of green and low-carbon industries has unique advantages. In June 2023, the Third Plenary Session of the 12th Sichuan Provincial Party Committee decided to actively plan and build a new energy system, consolidate the main supporting position of hydropower, focus on the development of wind, solar and hydrogen energy, develop natural gas power generation, distributed energy and new energy storage, promote the comprehensive development and utilization of geothermal resources, and accelerate the building of a national clean energy demonstration province.
In order to implement the new development concept and the strategic deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, display the innovative development achievements of the power energy industry, promote the transformation and upgrading of power energy enterprises, high-quality development, and help enterprises to explore the market in Sichuan and the west, the 20th Sichuan International Power Industry Expo was successfully held with the approval of the Ministry of Commerce, The "2024 China International Power Industry Expo&Green Energy Equipment Expo" (CIPIE2024) will be held in the New International Convention and Exhibition Center of Chengdu Century City on May 23-25, 2024.
