I THINK THESE BUNGS ARE TOO HARD A WOOD ESPECIALLY WHEN USED ON AN OLD BARRELL

Hi, we are not quite sure what you mean by too hard? All our bungs are made from beech, a hardwood is needed to be used (similar to the hardwood barrel) it fits into, as softwood would just rot or leak over time.
