What does American t86 customs clearance mean

T86 Customs Clearance, full name of Type 86 Customs Clearance, is a new informal entry mode launched by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on September 28, 2019. T86 Customs Clearance is a voluntary submission type used to submit and e-release e-commerce goods in accordance with the minimum requirements of the CBP (lt=$800 USD). Goods conforming to CBP de mimimis are also called 321 goods. Type 86 entries must be submitted by self-service importers or customs brokers. The total value of low value e-commerce goods that meet the T86 customs clearance requirements in the country of origin must not exceed $800.
