Hugo has learned that LAZADA has recently updated the new transaction contract of the cross-border department, which was launched on April 20, 2016. The seller will have 14 days to sign the contract. For the seller who did not sign the contract before May 3, LAZADA may close its seller center account.

What's special about the new transaction contract? A LAZADA seller summarized the following points to Hugo:

1. LAZADA will adjust the freight price list (LGS) from time to time and charge directly from the seller center. It is reported that LAZADA will notify the change of the price list on the seller's support platform 7 days in advance;

2. Freight disputes need to be declared within a given time. From the deduction date, the seller has 30 days to appeal and claim the freight (through PSC). This means that the seller may raise a freight dispute over (but not limited to) the weight of packaging materials, the classification of goods and/or taxes, taxes, duties or other expenses.

3. In the new commission table, some categories of commissions will be adjusted, especially for fashion and electronic products.

4. LAZADA extended the service level agreement for cross-border returns to 60 days, longer than the local return time. If the seller still does not receive the returned goods after 60 days, he can claim for compensation.

5. LAZADA updated its return policy, including the cancellation of the fixed return fee of $10; If the value of the goods is lower than a certain value, then Lazada Will not return such goods to the seller; If the value of the goods is higher than a certain value, Lazada will directly return such goods to the door (sellers in mainland and Hong Kong will be free, and sellers in other regions will charge appropriate fees). It is worth noting that the return policy will not be changed until the new policy is launched at the end of May. At present, it is still the same.

6. LAZADA will take necessary penalty measures. If the general sales regulations are violated, a fine of 5 dollars will be imposed on each product; In case of violation of laws and regulations, or each counterfeit product can be fined up to 500 dollars.
