This reference design adopts the Zhirong SW6306V SOC scheme. The chip is integrated with a protocol chip, a two-way synchronous voltage rise and fall controller and MCU. Only one SOC chip, together with the voltage rise and fall switch tube and the corresponding interface VBUS switch tube, can realize the complete design of high-power voltage rise and fall mobile power supply.
At the same time, this chip also supports a wealth of fast charging protocols, supports UFS integration and fast charging, and supports the largest100WCharging and discharging power. The chip supports 2-6 series battery applications and 2A2C port applications. Zhirong SW6306V mobile power DEMO appearance
The mobile power PCB board designed based on Zhirong SW6306V is rectangular. In terms of design strategy, all devices of different sizes, including connectors, displays, capacitors, chips, are arranged on the same side to facilitate SMT mounting.
At a glance at the back of the PCB board, we can see that there are no components on the back of the board.

Power on the DEMO board to simulate the connection of the battery, perform interface performance test, and use ChargeLAB POWER-Z KM003C to test that one of the USB-C ports of the PCB board supports UFS, FCP, AFC, QC3+/5, SFCP, PD3.0, PPS, DCP, SAM 2A, Apple 2.4A charging protocols.
PDO message shows that USB-C interface also has five groups of fixed voltage gears: 5V3A, 9V3A, 12V3A, 15V3A, 20V5A, and 5-21V5A, one group of PPS voltage gears.
It is measured that the UFCS fast charge has three voltage gears: 3.4-5.5V5A, 5.5-11V5A and 11-21V5A.
It is measured that the compatible protocol of the other USB-C interface is exactly the same.
In addition, the PDO message is the same. The two configured USB-C ports support power blind insertion.

The charge and discharge efficiency of the cell is a very important indicator of the mobile power supply. The charge and discharge efficiency of the cell based on the Zhirong SW6306V scheme is shown below.
The output efficiency with four strings of cells is as above. The efficiency with 5V3A output increases with the decrease of battery voltage, and the efficiency with 12.4V voltage exceeds 94%.20V5A refers to voltage rise, and the full load efficiency exceeds 97% at 16V.
The charging efficiency in the case of four strings of cells is as above, in which the highest efficiency in the case of 5V3A input can also exceed 94%, and the lowest efficiency in the case of 20V5A full power input can also exceed 96%.
When six strings of cells are used together, the output voltage is reduced, and the conversion efficiency increases with the decrease of battery voltage. The maximum output efficiency of the cells under 20V5A full load condition is more than 98%, and the efficiency under 5V3A output condition is more than 92%.
According to the curve of the output efficiency of charging and discharging four strings of batteries and discharging six strings of batteries, the full load conversion efficiency in the whole battery voltage range exceeds 95%.The high conversion efficiency greatly reduces the heating of full load conversion, reduces the heat dissipation demand, and improves the use experience.
Analysis of Zhirong SW6306V mobile power supply scheme
The core element of this reference design is Zhirong SW6306V, which is a highly integrated four port multi protocol voltage rise and fall mobile power SOC, integrated with two-way voltage rise and fall controller, and efficient voltage rise and fall switch charging and discharging.
