On April 11, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and Chaoyang District jointly released the official launch of the sixth Beijing Vocational Skills Competition. This is also a comprehensive skill event with the highest specification, the largest scale and the widest influence in the city. The competition will start registration on the 15th of this month, with the addition of artificial intelligence (AI) trainers, business data analysts and other projects. Eligible winners will be promoted to professional skill levels.
This competition fully matches the World Skills Competition and the National Vocational Skills Competition, focuses on the demand for skilled talents in the city's economic and social development, and sets up three major tracks, namely, the World Skills Competition, the National Vocational Skills Competition and the Industry Competition. There are 140 competitive events in total, including 13 world events, 31 national events and 96 industry events.
Wu Xiaojun, Deputy Director of the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, introduced that the competition included not only advanced manufacturing projects such as new energy vehicles, semiconductors and industrial robots, but also service projects such as fashion technology, beauty salons and cooking that are closely related to people's lives, as well as new professional events such as human intelligence training and all media operations.
New quality productivity is also the key word of this competition. The competition project held by the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology has added artificial intelligence trainers, business data analysts, digital twin application technicians, industrial Internet engineering technicians and other projects in combination with the development needs of the city's high-end industries. The events held by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions also include industrial robot system operators, automatic control engineering technicians, general assembly workers and other professions (types of work) involved in high-end manufacturing and aerospace.
Compared with previous competitions, this competition has three new highlights. First, the competition mode of "competition, exhibition and performance" is adopted to carry out diversified activities such as skill competition, exhibition, unique performance and conference forum. The second is to adopt market-oriented operation mode, encourage social forces to actively participate and become the "partner" of the competition. Third, the Beijing Tianjin Hebei Invitational Tournament is specially set up to invite teachers and students of technical colleges and universities in Tianjin and Hebei to Beijing to compete, learn skills and grow together with teachers and students of Beijing colleges and universities.
The top three players in this competition will win gold, silver and bronze medals, and the qualified winners will be promoted to professional skill level. The top three athletes of the World and National Championships, who meet the conditions, will be shortlisted for the Beijing Training Team of the Third National Vocational Skills Competition; The first player coach team leader and the dispatched unit will receive the inheritance award and the winner award; Eligible winners can also be included in the promotion plan for the career development of in-service workers of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and priority will be given to "highly skilled talents with outstanding contributions in Beijing" and other recognition and selection projects.
At the same time, the competition organizing committee will award excellent organization awards to the organizers for the competition items with large number of participants, high competition quality and strong publicity.
This competition is open to the whole society. Those who are over 16 years old, under the legal retirement age, and have studied or worked in this city for more than one year can apply for the competition. Among them, the contestants of the World Championships are required to be under the age of 22 (electromechanical integration projects are required to be under the age of 25). The contestants of national events shall be professional practitioners.
