As a structural ecological green lung in the south of the capital, Nanyuan Forest Wetland Park will build a 3300 mu high-quality biodiversity demonstration area. On April 8, according to Fengtai District, the "Nansen Sightseeing Platform" with a total height of 59 meters in the park is planned to open on May Day, highlighting the limited Taiwan culture in Nanyuan District, and forming a new landmark of urban culture that echoes the "Olympic Tower" from afar. The construction of the entire demonstration area is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
In spring, Nanyuan Forest Wetland Park is full of flowers. The high-quality biodiversity demonstration area is located in the core area of the park, with a total area of about 3300 mu.
"Our goal is to build it into a super large blue-green space with the richest biodiversity on the central axis of Beijing, the largest migratory bird habitat and bird watching resort in the central urban area of Beijing, and the capital ecological garden where people and nature coexist in harmony." The relevant person in charge of Nanyuan Forest Wetland Park introduced that 108 mu of high-quality green planting area will be built in the biodiversity demonstration area, Build high-quality natural ecological landscape forest.
Nanyuan Forest Wetland Park will also improve the public cultural space, continue the construction idea of "Aosen in the north, Nansen in the south", build "Nansen viewing platform", "Forest Sea Autumn Wind Viewing Platform", etc., and highlight the platform culture in Nanyuan.
The design height of "Nansen Viewing Platform" is 20 meters, with a building area of 1000 square meters. It is built on Dongtu Mountain, which now covers an area of 200 mu and is 39 meters high. After completion, the total height will reach 59 meters. The viewing platform is inspired by the shape of wild geese perched in the "South Forest Sea". The building base and roof shape refer to the posture of wild geese flapping their wings, emphasize the north-south axis ladder, respond to the central axis of Beijing with the traditional style slope roof, and perform a modern interpretation of classical architecture. At present, the structure of "Nansen Observation Platform" has been capped and will be completed and opened during the May Day holiday. At that time, citizens can board the viewing platform to overlook the beautiful scenery of Nanyuan Forest Wetland Park.
The construction of the entire demonstration area is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. In addition to the viewing platform, the construction of such landmark landscapes as "platform, pavilion and pavilion" will be completed simultaneously.
