"I didn't expect to see peach blossoms in Wangfujing!" Tourists walking around Wangfujing found that peach trees appeared on both sides of the street, and pink peach blossoms blossomed. It is understood that with the opening of 2024 "Fragrance" Encounter Wangfujing series activities, Wangfujing Peach Blossom Season, as well as various fragrance themed activities such as the fragrance of books, drinks, food, cosmetics, etc., will be staged in succession, bringing a rich consumer experience to citizens and tourists.
On April 8, nearly 200 Pinggu peach trees appeared in the Wangfujing Pedestrian Street in the form of potted plants. Tourists slowed down, stopped to watch or took photos. When the breeze blows, the petals fall with the wind, adding a romantic atmosphere to the street.
"This is the first time that we have transplanted Pinggu peach trees to Wangfujing, hoping to bring you a new scene of consumption." Zhang Yong, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and director of Wangfujing District Management Committee, introduced that in 2024, citizens and tourists can enjoy the changes of peach trees in different seasons in Wangfujing.
The "Fragrance" Encounter Wangfujing series of activities integrates flower appreciation, leisure and shopping, bringing a new consumption experience of integration of beauty, clothing and featured activities, which will last until the end of October.
In addition to environmental beautification, 10 Citywalk locations, such as Silian Hair Salon and China Photo Studio, are selected in the street. Citizens and tourists can get a card punching guide at the service counter, enjoy discounts in participating stores, and punch in and stamp their cards.
As part of Beijing International Consumer Experience Zone, Wangfujing will continue to be upgraded. "This year, we plan to introduce 40 first stores and flagship stores to carry out various first show activities." Zhang Yong introduced that Lisheng Sports Mall will introduce high-end sports brands and sports clubs, and Wangfujing Bookstore will introduce new cultural consumption scenes. Recently, with the settlement of Xiaomi Motors, there are 11 flagship stores of new energy vehicles in the block, and more new energy vehicle brands will be settled in the future.
At the same time, the street has built a Wangfujing Street studio to tell the historical story of Wangfujing and provide exhibition space for time-honored brands and famous products.
