In 2024, the city will have 11 rail transit lines (sections) under construction, with a mileage of 222.7 km (including the newly started branch line of Line 1); There will be 3 new lines to meet the public in the year. At present, all projects under construction have been fully started, and the main structures of the three lines to be opened have been completed. In the first quarter of rail transit construction, 20.5% of the annual investment target has been completed, and the investment in construction and installation has increased by 37.9% year on year, exceeding the investment target for the first quarter issued by the municipal government, achieving a "good start".

Urban rail transit construction is an important livelihood project, and also an important starting point to achieve high-quality development in urban operation, management and service. "Three connections" refers to the initial operation of 45.3 km of Line 3 (Phase I) (East Sishi Dongfeng), Line 12 (Sijiqingqiao Dongfeng) and the remaining section of Changping Line South Extension Phase I (Xitucheng Jimen Bridge). Wang Shuai, head of the Planning and Dispatching Department of Beijing Investment Rail Company, said that the main structures of the three lines to be opened have been completed, Line 12 is undergoing no-load trial operation, Line 3 Phase I is undergoing bullet train commissioning in the sample section, and the remaining sections of Changping Line South Extension Phase I have completed project acceptance.

"Two opening" refers to the realization of the full commencement of the construction of the branch line of Line 1 and the two lines of Phase I of Line M101. The construction of the branch line of Line 1 was commenced on January 18, and the construction bidding work of Line M101 Phase I is being promoted.

"One station with five entrances" means that one station and five entrances/exits will be put into operation for the completion of the line that has been opened to traffic, namely, Entrance/Exit D2 of Zhufang North Station and Xueyuanqiao Station in Phase I of Changping Line South Extension, Entrance/Exit B and C of Yizhuang Railway Station on Yizhuang Line, Entrance/Exit A2 of Futong Station on Line 14 and Entrance/Exit D of Xingong Station on Daxing Line. At present, various projects are advancing as planned.

On February 4, 2023, the Xierqi Xitucheng section of Changping Line South Extension Phase I of Beijing Metro will be officially opened for trial operation, but the "one station one section" from the remaining Xitucheng section to Jimenqiao Station has not been opened. In 2024, this metro line segment will be fully opened.

On the morning of April 3, we arrived at Jimenqiao Station under construction. At present, the construction of the main structure of Jimenqiao Station has been completed, and the decoration stage has entered. Five entrances and exits are ready, the gate and other equipment on the platform floor are in place, and the staff are carrying out construction operations such as tiling and hanging aluminum plates.

In terms of decoration, Jimen Bridge Station adopts simple dark yellow as the main color, and takes the surrounding Yuandu Relics as the theme design. Citizens can enjoy the murals of "Jimen Smoke Tree" among the eight Yanjing sights on the platform floor, and feel the beauty of nature.

Jimenqiao Station is also the transfer station between the south extension of Changping Line and Line 12. It is reported that these two lines are designed for T-type transfer on the station hall floor. After the station is opened, citizens can take the escalator from the platform floor of the south extension of Changping Line, and walk less than 100 meters to the escalator of Metro Line 12.
