On February 29, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Medical Security Bureau jointly issued the national professional standards for long-term nurses. People over the age of 16 who are interested in long-term care can apply for long-term care teacher, without gender and education requirements.

Long term carers should provide basic life care, medical care, functional maintenance, psychological care and other services for those who enjoy long-term care insurance benefits. The workplace is family, community, pension institution, medical institution, etc. According to the National Medical Security Bureau, long-term nurses need to have professional knowledge and skills in life care, medical care, health management, long-term care insurance, etc. After passing the standardized training, they can apply for the corresponding level of professional recognition.

According to the newly issued national occupational standards, long-term care professionals are divided into three levels: primary (Level 5), intermediate (Level 4), and advanced (Level 3). The skill requirements and relevant knowledge requirements go forward in order, and the high-level requirements cover the low-level requirements.

The professional functions of primary nurses are divided into four parts: life care, basic care, emergency response, and functional maintenance; Intermediate nurses are divided into five parts: life care, basic care, symptomatic care, functional maintenance, and psychological care; Senior nurses are divided into four parts: basic nursing, disease nursing, functional maintenance and psychological care.

Next, the National Medical Security Bureau will Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security And other relevant departments to organize the development of long-term nurse training programs, build standardized training platforms, and organize standardized training evaluation, grade identification, certificate issuance and other work. In addition, relevant colleges and universities will be guided to explore the mode of apprenticeship training, promote the integration of production and education, work and learning to cultivate high-quality long-term nursing talents, and expand talent supply through education and training.
