Since February 20, hundreds of metro sections under construction in the city have rapidly promoted the resumption of construction and production after the Spring Festival, and more than 20 other sections have continued construction without shutdown during the Spring Festival, including Beijing Metro Line 12, known as the "Underground North Third Ring Road". On February 20, the main structure of Sanyuanqiao Station of Metro Line 12 and the decoration construction of the station hall floor and platform floor were basically completed. The subway line is planned to be put into operation within the year.
On the morning of February 20, at Sanyuanqiao Station of Line 12, the construction personnel were concentrating on the decoration construction of the transfer hall. The decoration theme of the station is "Beijing Bridge Ripples", which is simple and elegant. Entering the station is like entering a modern art space. The designer skillfully takes the overpass as the prototype, and integrates the crisscross streamline form into it, bringing the visual enjoyment of beauty.
Zhang Xiaosong, the production manager of Lot 14 of Line 12 of Beijing Resident Group, the construction company, said that Sanyuanqiao Station will become a transfer station for Line 10, Line 12 and the airport line in the future. Sanyuanqiao Station, nearly 30m deep, is a four storey underground station. The upper two floors are commercial, and the lower floor is the station hall and platform floor.
At present, the decoration construction of the main structure of the station and the station hall floor and platform floor in the public area has been basically completed, and the auxiliary structure decoration and equipment installation are under way. During the Spring Festival, more than 50 workers and all managers stuck to their posts. The project department has provided considerate logistics support, improved the accommodation conditions of workers, and distributed overtime allowance and holiday consolation goods, so that workers can feel the warmth of home on the site.
Metro Line 12, known as the "Underground North Third Ring Road", is planned to be put into operation within this year. At present, the main structures of the station and the section have been completed, and the remaining auxiliary structures are under construction. 95% of the equipment installation has been completed as a whole, and the station system joint commissioning and motor train commissioning are under way.
Chen Jianbo, Deputy Director of the Engineering Department of the Third Branch of Beijing Investment Rail Company, introduced that the total length of Line 12 is about 30 kilometers, starting from the south of Sijiqing Bridge on the West Fourth Ring Road in the west and ending at Dongba North Street in the east. It is a rail transit trunk line mainly laid along the East West Third Ring Road, passing through four administrative regions of Haidian, Xicheng, Dongcheng and Chaoyang, all of which are underground lines. There are 21 stations in the whole line, including 13 transfer stations. After completion and opening to traffic, transfer will be realized with 12 lines, including Line 4, Line 5 and Line 8.
Line 12 also goes through all the important traffic nodes of the North Third Ring Road, including more than 70 bridges and stations in the bridge area, which can be described as "one bridge and one station". "In order to enhance passengers' sense of experience, all entrances and exits of stations in the bridge area should be arranged as close as possible to bus stations or existing municipal facilities, taking full account of the travel requirements and habits of surrounding passengers." Chen Jianbo said.
Including Metro Line 12, during the 2024 Spring Festival, a total of 44 construction sites of 18 civil engineering sections and 3 mechanical and electrical equipment sections of metro projects under construction in the city have not been stopped for continuous construction, and 4200 personnel have stayed at the site to undertake engineering construction, security guard and emergency support tasks.
In addition, for other projects, the Municipal Major Project Office organizes the participating units to prepare the resumption plan in advance and deploy the resumption arrangements. Zeng Weiqiang, a second level investigator of the Safety and Quality Department of the Municipal Major Projects Office, said that on February 20, 85 civil engineering sections and 35 electromechanical equipment sections of the metro under construction in the city rapidly promoted the resumption of work and production after the Spring Festival, and on February 25, the rail transit project will achieve a full resumption of work and production after the festival.
