Looking for "dragon" cultural relics, drawing "auspicious dragon greeting spring" New Year pictures, making canal dragon lanterns... The Year of the Dragon is approaching, and many museums in the city present "dragon" gifts for the Spring Festival. A series of interesting dragon themed activities invite the audience to have a cultural Spring Festival.

In major museums, the dragon element cultural relics are the absolute protagonist of the 2024 Spring Festival, and many museums invite visitors to the exhibition hall to "look for dragons". The Chinese Archaeological Museum has launched the "Dragon Hunt" theme activity, where visitors can "punch in" the dragon image, dragon pattern decorations and cultural relics, and seal the limited version of cultural relics. From February 4 to 20, the White Pagoda Temple will launch the activity of "searching for 'divine animals' in Miaoying Temple". The audience can find the hidden dragon elements in the White Pagoda Temple through the clues published on the museum's WeChat public account.

Some traditional intangible cultural heritage skills and annual customs activities will also be "moved" into the museum. During the Spring Festival, the first blog will launch a series of activities of "auspicious dragon welcoming the spring", inviting the audience to participate in such experience activities as rubbing New Year pictures, traditional velvet flowers, manual paper cutting, writing lucky characters, guessing lantern riddles, movable type printing, etc. In the Beijing Grand Canal Museum, visitors can learn about the origin and folk customs of Dulong King Temple at the source of the Grand Canal, and make traditional dragon lanterns with the theme of the canal.

Many popular science venues also launch dragon element theme activities in combination with the collection characteristics. From February 11 to 17, the National Natural History Museum will hold "Dragon Totem Series Activities", where activities such as rubbing of New Year pictures, blessing in the Year of the Dragon, breakthrough of auspicious dragon knowledge, carving of dinosaur skulls, and reproduction of fossils will be staged in turn to lead the audience to feel the charm of dragon culture. The East Suburb Exhibition Hall of the China Railway Museum launched the "Dragon Culture and China Railway Special Exhibition". The audience can not only understand the image and symbol of the "dragon" in the development of China's railway, but also collect the "Dragon Locomotive" Spring Festival qualifier, participate in interactive games, and win free experience tickets for popular science small trains, free visit tickets for official cars and other gifts.
