As the Spring Festival is approaching, the Beijing business district has become more and more decorated with lanterns. Various "punch in points", New Year's fairs and flash stores have been put on sale, setting off a thriving festive atmosphere. Various interactive entertainment projects were opened in advance, attracting many citizens to experience them in advance, and museums, parks and other cultural places were also bustling. The first cherry blossom exhibition will be opened before the festival, and traditional folk activities such as window cutting, face painting, lantern making, couplet writing, flower bucket arranging will also be carried out in succession, adding a variety of fun to the citizens during the Spring Festival.

Spring Market Gathers Popularity for Business District

Approaching Chongwenmen New World Department Store, a red lantern corridor just erected outside the gate is very festive. The four characters of "Long Xing Da Yun" at the front of the door are particularly conspicuous. Many citizens have stopped to take photos before entering the mall. The New Year goods market in the mall was even more lively. The table was full of bright red lanterns, New Year pictures, Fu characters, couplets and dragon shaped dolls. The strong flavor of New Year came to the face.

The bustling New Year stalls are the most popular corners in the mall. As the Spring Festival approaches, the "Guochao New Year Goods Festival" will be held in Chongwenmen Business District. Every shopping mall has many ingenious ideas. At the entrance of Guorui Shopping Center, there is the exclusive mascot of the New Year's Festival, "Long Dong Dong", and the west square also has children's amusement facilities, such as a merry go round. Mofang Shopping Center is carrying out an overall layout with the theme of "flowers", and the middle hall of Hadmen Center will become the main venue of the "Flower Market Lantern Festival".

Before and after the Spring Festival, Chongwenmen Business District will also build 14 outdoor exhibition tents, which will sell food for time-honored brands such as Daoxiangcun, Cheap Shop, Yueshengzhai, etc., as well as New Year gifts such as Old Beijing Bunny, Tanghulu, etc.

Interactive devices experience the charm of youth customs

On the central square of Blue Harbor, a New Year red "square box" is particularly eye-catching. The high hanging "M" lantern, the golden arch symbolized by happiness, the Chinese style embroidery pattern, and the fashionable appearance design combine with the traditional Chinese New Year folk theme. The McDonald's flash store adds a new spring atmosphere to the riverside of the Liangma River in advance.

According to Zhang Zhirui, deputy general manager of Blue Harbor, the business district will also hold lion dance and meet the god of wealth activities on the first and fifth days of the New Year. Citizens can also come to the scene to participate in writing Spring Festival couplets, describing the characters of fortune, and wrapping up dumplings to feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

The Box Chaowai Youth Force Center, located in Chaowai Street, is a new gathering place of trendy culture in the capital. The second floor of the mall has set up a challenge arena for "Dragon Year Challenge". On the Dongyue Square outside the shopping mall, a green glazed archway built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty tells the history of Beijing. As darkness falls, the business district's light and shadow show comes on the stage, and the colored glaze shines in the light of laser lights. A dialogue across time and space surprises many young people.

It is understood that before and after the Spring Festival, the "Dragon Year Challenge" area will regularly hold a number of interactive entertainment activities. The Box will also jointly present the Dongyue Temple Fair Guochao United Market Area in conjunction with the Dongyue Temple. A set of antique artificial attractions will also appear in the business circle during the Spring Festival.

Museum class adds fun to winter vacation

Outside the business circle, museums, parks and other cultural places are becoming more and more lively. In recent days, the Chinese Women and Children's Museum is busy arranging exhibitions. The museum, together with more than 50 cultural and museum institutions, has raised hundreds of auspicious dragon themed cultural relics and artworks images, which will be collectively unveiled during the Spring Festival. More than 10 folk art experience activities, including traditional calligraphy, paper art, dough sculpture, cloth art and mimeography, 6 "small classes of traditional handicrafts" and 7 self-help interactive exhibitions of "celebrating the New Year in the museum" will also be held in succession.

Wang Rui, Minister of the Ministry of Display and Information of the China Women and Children's Museum, introduced that the exhibition hall will also set up an interactive space for young audiences to "look for dragons in a small classroom", where children can watch relevant shadow play videos and participate in activities such as drawing dragon pattern puzzles.

The first cherry blossom exhibition will also be opened before the festival. It is understood that in 2024, Yuyuantan Park will set up the "Little Cherry" post station for the first time, and the early cherry variety Cherry carefully cultivated by technicians will be officially unveiled in the Park Science Plaza on February 2. More than 900 pots of more than 30 kinds of family gardening plants, such as blooming early cherry trees and New Year's Eve flowers, were exhibited collectively. The activity will last until the Lantern Festival on February 24.

On the first, third and fifteenth days of the first lunar month, the park will also organize traditional folk activities such as window cutting, face painting, lantern making, couplet writing, flower arranging bucket, etc. in the Ximen Science Plaza. Citizens can also come to experience archery, looping, pot throwing, lantern riddle guessing, ancient poetry challenge and other traditional fun games. (Yang Tianyue)
