On December 28, the fifth to sixth ring sections of Beijing Xiongyang Expressway were officially opened to traffic. So far, the whole Beijing section of Beijing Xiongyang Expressway has been put into operation, and the drive from the Southwest Fifth Ring Road of Beijing to Xiong'an New Area has been completed within one hour. As a landmark project of the whole line, Jingxiong Bridge has broken the record of single span span of bridges in Beijing, officially becoming a new landmark in western Beijing.

Turn on landscape lighting at night for Jingxiong Bridge

On December 28, with the completion of the Beijing section of the Beijing Xiongyang Expressway, the first batch of traffic was coming to the magnificent Jingxiong Bridge.

With a total length of 1.62 kilometers, the Jingxiong Bridge has a main bridge of 520 meters and a main arch span of 300 meters. It is the largest single span bridge in Beijing and carries the two-way eight lane traffic flow of the Jingxiong Expressway.

In addition to being magnificent, this bridge also has some details that are not easy to pay attention to - landscape lighting lamp posts are set between the upper and lower steel beam components of the bridge. The gorgeous lights at night will shine more dazzling and charming colors on this new landmark in western Beijing. On the bridge ground, the invisible expansion joints leave space for the bridge to "expand with heat and contract with cold" to ensure smooth driving.

"The Jingxiong Bridge crosses the Yongding River, the mother river of Beijing, and is integrated with the distant mountains and nearby waters." Wang Haitao, the project manager of the Jingxiong Bridge of China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau, points to the wetland park beside the Yongding River under the main bridge. From time to time, citizens can be seen walking in it, and cyclists can also pass under the bridge.

Tidal lane is set at the elevated main line toll station

After the completion of the Beijing section of Beijing Xiongyang Expressway, Fangshan North Station, the first main line toll station of land viaduct in Beijing, was officially opened. The traffic flow between Beijing and Xiong'an orderly passed through the guard box of the toll station.

This toll station is located on the west side of Yongding River Bridge, across Fangshan District Urban Forest Park, with a total of 20 lanes. In order to improve the traffic efficiency, the four lanes in the middle are set as tidal lanes, and the silver movable hard isolation has been put in place. When the one-way traffic volume in and out of Beijing reaches 6000 vehicles per hour, the tidal lanes will be used.

In addition to Jingxiong Bridge and Fangshan North Station, there are 4 viaducts in Beijing section, and 5 interchanges in total, including Fifth Ring Interchange, Sixth Ring Interchange, Changyang Interchange, Liangxiang Interchange and Jingshen Road Interchange.

The Beijing section of Beijing Xiongyang Expressway is about 27 kilometers long, running north-south, across Daxing, Fangshan, Fengtai and other regions. The whole line is a two-way eight lane road. The design speed from the Fifth Ring Road to the main toll station is 100 kilometers per hour, and the design speed from the main toll station to the city boundary is 120 kilometers per hour. It is understood that speed limit signs and speed measuring equipment have been installed.

"The section from the sixth ring road to the city boundary of Beijing section has been put into operation at the end of 2022. The section from the fifth ring road to the sixth ring road, with a total length of 14.8 kilometers, starts from the fifth ring road in the north and ends at the sixth ring road in the south. It connects with the section from the sixth ring road to the city boundary opened at the end of last year and the Hebei section of the existing Beijing Xiongyang Expressway. The drive from the fifth ring road in the southwest of Beijing to Xiong'an New Area will be accessible within one hour." Zhao Yang, Director of the Collaborative Development Division of the Municipal Communications Commission, introduced.

5G coverage of "Smart Highway"

As a demonstration "smart highway" in China, Beijing section of Beijing Xiongyang Expressway has built a smart high-speed monitoring center, introduced China Mobile 5G private network, and used Beidou high-precision positioning, high-precision digital maps, variable information signs, etc. to provide vehicle road communication, high-precision navigation, early warning and other services for vehicle owners. Through the integrated fusion technology of perception, computing, communication, information release, etc., it can realize the highly reliable information interaction of "people vehicle road cloud" and provide millisecond information service for car owners.

Meteorological data collection is realized along the whole line to monitor the visibility, temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind direction, etc., provide refined meteorological early warning and forecasting information, and realize the monitoring and early warning of rain, fog, ice, snow and other meteorological disasters.

At the same time, omni channel+financial media information release forms interactive traffic guidance and travel suggestions. Using Internet map APP, traffic broadcast, variable information board, driving safety guidance system and other channels, provide differentiated comprehensive road traffic services for social vehicles, engineering vehicles, online car hailing, etc., and realize the transformation from passive response to risk intervention.

Open parking area agricultural exhibition

The integration concept of "transportation+tourism" helps rural revitalization and is also a highlight of Beijing Xiongyang Expressway. Innovatively build an open parking area along the line, build a bridge between the parking area and the Beijing Baili Big Family Theme Park, hold agricultural exhibition and marketing activities in the parking area, and provide free booths for villagers along the line, so that owners can enjoy the experience of "flowers in spring, gardens in summer, picking in autumn, and snow in winter" without leaving the parking area.

The parking area is also equipped with mother and baby room, emergency medical room, leisure hall and other intimate services. At the same time, the parking area will be built into a warm home for drivers, a place to spread red culture and a place to punch in.

As a major transportation project of the coordinated development strategy of Beijing Tianjin Hebei, Beijing Xiongyang Expressway is the most convenient direct expressway connecting the capital Beijing to Xiong'an New Area. It forms a convenient, smooth, functional complementary, safe and reliable regional expressway network together with Beijing Hong Kong Macao Expressway and Daguang Expressway. The opening of the whole line of Beijing Xiongyang Expressway not only strengthens the interconnection between the southern region of Beijing and the central city, Daxing International Airport and Hebei Xiong'an New Area, but also provides transportation service guarantee for supporting the construction and development of Xiong'an New Area, promoting the relaxation of Beijing's non capital functions, and the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
