Giant pandas come from plateau areas with an altitude of more than 2000 meters. They are naturally cold and afraid of heat. The arrival of this snow has brought them infinite joy. Meng Lan, the top star of Beijing Zoo, appeared in the audience's eager anticipation on December 11. In order to cope with the first obvious snowfall in the winter of 2023, under the early warning deployment of the Municipal Park Management Center, the municipal park dispatched more than 5000 staff from 4:00 a.m. yesterday to clean the gate area, main roads, stairs and bridge decks, and mainly aimed at the snow on ancient and famous trees and plant branches for "snow removal".
Park officials and staff use bamboo poles, brooms, snow shovels and other snow sweeping tools to dispatch 18 snow carts and 34 snow removal machines to "follow the main roads, main scenic spots, gate areas and other areas" in the park, so as to ensure the safety of tourists.
In the mountain, river bank, cruise ship dock, rockery path and other areas, more than 1300 "wet road" safety signs were placed in the park, more than 2000 square meters of anti-skid mats were set in each gate area, and more than 3000 linear meters of anti-skid carpets were laid at the entrance, and visitors were reminded to visit the park safely through radio, LED display, etc. (Dai Lili)
