On November 28, the "Great Sage's Relics - Guqin Culture Exhibition (Phase II)" in Zhongcui Palace Guqin Hall of the Palace Museum was opened to the audience. 55 cultural relics were unveiled, including 9 ancient zithers such as the Feiquan zither made by Lei Shi in the late Tang Dynasty.
In the exhibition hall, nine ancient zithers create the artistic conception of "silence is better than sound". The long name of the piano is like playing music with words. According to experts, the name of the zither is usually engraved near the hole on the bottom of the zither, and the term for this location is Longchi. The upper part of the Flying Spring Qin Dragon Pool is inscribed with the cursive script "Flying Spring", the lower part of the seal script "Yuzhen" square seal, and the seal script on both sides of the Qin is inscribed with the words "High mountain jade glides, empty valley golden sound. People treasure the Qin, and philosophers are close to each other. They are comfortable, ambitious, poor and comfortable. The world is in harmony, and everything is prosperous", which indicates that the tone of the Qin is comparable to the clear sound of high mountain water, gold bells and jade chimes. The Haiyue Qinghui Qin made in the Southern Song Dynasty is an old collection of the Qing Palace. The name of the Lishu Qin is engraved on the top of the Longchi Lake, and the square seal of "Qianlong Imperial Mansion Collection" is printed below it; From around to the foot of the wild goose are the Qin inscriptions of famous Ci ministers during the reign of Qianlong, with different fonts and colors, which are quite rich. With the allusion of Bo Ya Sui Cheng Lian to Penglai Island feeling natural empathy and enlightenment, it explains the meaning of the Qin name and the beauty of the tone.
Among the zithers, the atlas of Qiuhong in the early Ming Dynasty is quite eye-catching. There are 4 volumes of the guqin music score, and the figure is the combined version of the drawing and music score after the music score. The first opening of the front and the last opening of the back attached pages of each volume shall be sealed with the big seal of "Qianlong Royal Treasure". According to experts, the first part of the atlas is composed of two etudes "Qingshang Tune" and "Jiazhong Qingshang Yi", which are not found in other music collections. With the participation of artists from the Central National Orchestra, the ancient zither score has now been restored.
"A total of 55 cultural relics collected in the Palace Museum were exhibited." Sun Zhaohua, the curator, is the deputy director of the Palace Music and Opera Research Institute of the Palace Museum. He said that "the golden cloud dragon pattern chimes of the Kangxi period in the Qing Dynasty - the yellow bell rhythm", "the red agate of the Qianlong period in the Qing Dynasty 'half couch zither script' seal" and other cultural relics related to the ancient zither were also exhibited, To highlight the function and cultural value of the ancient zither, which is not only used in national ceremonies and elegant music, but also the basis for scholars to cultivate their moral integrity and express their emotions and ambitions.
