1、 Definition
The full name of electrical tape is polyethylene electrical equipment insulation adhesive products. Others call it electric welder insulation tape or insulating tape. It is a kind of polyethylene insulation tape with excellent performance, economy and practicality. It has good wear resistance, moisture resistance, temperature resistance and environmental damage resistance (including ultraviolet light). It is suitable for wire winding and insulation fixation of various motors and electronic parts such as transformers, motors, power capacitors, regulated power supplies, etc. There are yellow, yellow, blue, white, green, black, transparent yellow, etc. Polyethylene tape has high volume resistivity, good shape, and good mechanical equipment maintenance can be obtained with less usage.
2、 Scope of application
It is mainly applicable to the insulation of resistor parts. For example, the winding of terminal, the repair of insulation damage, and the insulation safety protection of various motors and electronic parts such as transformers, motors, power capacitors, regulated power supplies, etc. It can be used for binding, fixing, rebar overlapping, repairing, sealing and maintenance in industrial process.
The protective wire sheath used for binding cables and wires can be used for indoor or outdoor main insulation of all cable and wire joints with rated voltage less than 600V to repair the terminal head of high voltage cables. It can be used for recognizing the color of insulated power cables with electrical equipment below 600V.
3、 Operation method
First of all, before using adhesive tape to wrap the connector, the two cables must be perfectly twisted together according to the wiring standards. Different materials, different sections, and different application fields have different wiring standards. This must be done according to the specifications and standards.
The insulation at the wire connection is generally wrapped with insulating tape. The common insulation of electric welders includes yellow wax tape, polyester cloth plastic film tape, black tape, plastic tape, plastic tape, etc. The total width of insulating tape is usually 20mm, which is convenient for application.
What is the very simple method of wrapping the connector with adhesive tape? One half of the adhesive tape is simply wrapped from the cross end to the other end. Remember that in the process of wrapping, it is necessary to use a little force. It is not necessary to wrap the adhesive tape smoothly. Use some force to wrap the adhesive tape tightly. If the tape is tied randomly, it is very likely that the tape itself will gradually loosen and disperse as time goes on, which is very dangerous and must be tied tightly.
However, this simplest method is more suitable for the scenario of conventional temporary insulation. The tape wrapping method is different in different application fields.
1. Generally, the wire connectors are connected in a zigzag way with adhesive tape. The wire connectors are insulated first, wrapped with a layer of yellow wax tape, and then wrapped with a layer of black adhesive tape. Wrap the yellow wax tape gradually from the insulating layer with complete insulation on the left side of the connector, wrap it for several circles, and then enter the copper core cable with stripped insulating layer. When wrapping, the yellow wax tape shall form a 55 ° up and down angle with the conductor, and 1/2 of the network bandwidth shall be laminated every revolution, until the distance between wrapping and several turns on the right side of the connector is intact and the insulation layer is intact. Then connect the black tape to the tail of the yellow wax belt and wrap it from right to left in another oblique folding direction, still folding 1/2 of the network bandwidth every turn until the yellow wax belt is completely wrapped. During the wrapping review, use force to tighten the adhesive tape, and pay attention that it cannot be sparse, and the copper core cable cannot be exposed to ensure the insulation quality and electrical safety. For 220 V distribution lines, it is also possible to wrap the double layers with black tape or plastic tape without yellow wax tape. Polyethylene insulation tape or polyester cloth insulation tape shall be selected for wet sites.
2. The basic principle of the winding method of adhesive tape for T-shaped branch connector connector is the same as above. The winding direction of T-shaped branch connector is a T-shaped round-trip, so that each wire is wrapped with double-layer insulating tape. Each wire should be wrapped to twice the total width of the tape with intact insulating layer.
3. When insulating the cross branch connector of the conductor with the tape wrapping method for the cross branch connector of the conductor, the wrapping direction shall be a cross shaped round-trip, so that each conductor is wrapped with double-layer insulating tape, and each conductor shall also be wrapped to twice the overall width of the tape with intact insulation layer.
4、 What is the resistance of insulating tape to high temperature
1. The heat resistance of insulating tape used by general welders can reach 80 ℃. In terms of temperature, it is not very heat-resistant insulating tape, also known as welder insulating tape. Its main material is PVC film, which is processed according to the sample glue smeared with plastic in the middle and later stages, playing a certain role in avoiding electrification and insulation. The key performance is compression resistance and flame retardancy, which is suitable for insulation protection of electrical equipment.
2. The other is high-temperature adhesive tape, which means that it can be used in a continuous high-temperature environment. The heat resistance can reach 120 degrees, or even 260 degrees. This high-temperature adhesive tape is very heat-resistant.
5、 Storage
