When WordPress was established, we used to use QQ's email subscription, but later it was not easy to use QQ's email subscription. If we choose to build our own email notification system, we can choose to use MailPoot. However, MailPoot is more suitable for the WordPress platform, and now free mailboxes provide SMTP messaging services. Sending hundreds of letters a day can basically meet the needs. This artifact is really good. With SMTP, you can get twice the result with half the effort.

Here's how to install and use MailPoot. Here is MailPoot cooperating with Zoho Mail to build an email notification system. Of course, other free mailboxes are also available, but Zoho Mail is better. 1： Install MailPoot

The MailPoet here is MailPoet3. We install it in the WordPress background installation plug-in. Enter the first MailPoet. As shown in the figure:

2： Set SMTP sending

After installation, we need to set SMTP in MailPoot, as shown in the figure:

If you can't find smtp in zoho mail, you can see the following figure:

Click Open to see the SMTP.

3： MailPoot Settings

1. First, add a subscription group, so that your subscriptions can be managed by category.

Then, MailPoot also provides some other settings, such as secondary confirmation, reply address, and so on.
2. The important points in the MailPoot settings of registration confirmation need to be explained. After subscribing, you will receive an email confirming your subscription, which needs to be set as follows

3. Create a new form. After completing the above operations, you can click the form. Here you can set the style and display location of the subscription form.

4. Add a gadget. Now we can add the subscription form of MailPoot to the foreground from the gadget of WordPress.

4、 Add RSS update task

MailPoet provides several different functions for mass mailing. What we need here is MailPoet's RSS update email notification function. Select the third one (there are still some parts in English that are not Chinese).

After selection, there will be a template in English. We can select any template that we like, and then we can directly modify it from the mode provided by MailPoot. On the right side, we can add pictures, adjust text, add module content, etc. to the template, as shown in the figure below:

MailPoot allows you to set the type of RSS updates. Generally, you will select articles, and then you can send an email to test it.

This is the preview effect received by the mailbox, as follows:

After there are no problems in the test, we can set the transmission frequency and the title content.

After that, we can see the task we just added in the taskbar.

So we have set up the mail subscription system.

5、 MailPoot Effect

We can open the home page and enter the email address to directly subscribe to updates in the foreground.

Click, I want to subscribe, and it will appear later: check your inbox or junk mail folder to confirm your subscription. When the mailbox receives an email confirming the subscription, the user needs to click Confirm to complete it.

When we click OK to subscribe, we will automatically jump to the subscription website, prompting that the subscription has been completed, as shown in the figure:

We can also see subscribers in the background of MailPoot.

Wordpress+MailPoot+zoho mail is quite simple to set up an RSS update email notification system. MailPoot is not difficult to set up. Here is a brief introduction. Generally, free emails can easily be blocked by the service provider. For example, if Tencent's corporate mailbox is suspended for sending a large number of emails at a certain time, it is not suitable for email marketing.
