Introduction to Journal of Applied Writing

Applied Writing, co sponsored by Changchun University of Science and Technology and Jilin Province Writing Society, was founded in 1985. It is the only comprehensive monthly magazine in China that specializes in studying and discussing the theory and techniques of applied writing, disseminating modern applied writing knowledge, and publicly issued at home and abroad. It is the core journal of the national applied writing discipline. The well-known academic achievements and practical and powerful guiding role in practice have made this journal enjoy a high reputation in the domestic academic circles of applied writing and secretarial field. With its publication style of "paying attention to the forefront of disciplines, emphasizing practical applications, and giving consideration to theoretical guidance and practical operability", this journal is deeply loved and praised by secretarial workers, applied writing researchers, and writing teachers across the country. Since its inception, the magazine has always adhered to the concept of "improving quality, stressing practicality, running high-quality journals, and serving the whole society" and the purpose of "studying applied writing theory, disseminating applied writing knowledge, exploring applied writing techniques, and guiding applied writing practice", and has made efforts to forge ahead and continue to grow. Its circulation and distribution range rank first among the national writing journals. As a highly academic and theoretical journal, it can advance bravely and fly against the wind in the fierce market competition. Notice for Contribution of Applied Writing Magazine

1. This journal is looking for innovative, academic, theoretical and practical manuscripts.

2. Please submit the submitted documents in electronic form, and note the specific mailing address, telephone number or e-mail at the end of the document for easy contact.

3. The author should be responsible for his own contributions. The contributions should have clear arguments, reliable arguments, and concise words. The articles should not exceed 5000 words, and the topics should not exceed 20 words. Unless invited to contribute, articles of special review will not be published generally. All papers with research subjects funded by national and provincial (ministerial) science funds shall be marked in the footer of the front page, and the subject code number shall be indicated.

4. Title, abstract and key words of the manuscript shall be in English. The abstract should be written as a reportable abstract with 200 words rather than charts. For contributions, 3 to 8 keywords should be selected from the Chinese Thesaurus as far as possible, and the selected words should be nouns or noun phrases that can reflect the subject content of the paper and appear in the title, abstract or body of the article. The author should also look up 1-3 Chinese Library Classification Numbers from the Chinese Library Classification (4th Edition).

5. The manuscript shall be signed by the author in both Chinese and English (no more than 3 signatures), in order of contribution, indicating the work unit, the city where the unit is located and the postal code, and attaching the resume of the author (name, date of birth, place of origin, education background, professional title, and main research direction). The order of authorship shall be determined at the time of submission and shall not be changed later.

6. The letters, numbers and symbols in foreign languages in the manuscript shall be neat and clear. For letters, numbers and symbols that are easy to be confused, the language type, upper and lower case, and italics shall be indicated. The positions of letters, numbers and symbols in the upper and lower corners shall be distinct. The quantity and unit must comply with national standards and international standards. The measured symbols shall be in italics (except for pH and special symbols), and the unit of quantity shall be in orthodox.

7. The illustrations of the manuscript shall be drawn with ink lines, which shall be neat, uniform, with corresponding title and self explanatory. All photos shall be clear black and white photos with good clarity and contrast. The symbols to be marked in the photos shall be cut and pasted on another paper, and shall not be written directly on the photos. The general size of pictures and photos should be 7cm or 14cm wide.

8. Three (horizontal) lines shall be used as far as possible for the tables in the manuscript, and auxiliary (horizontal) lines can be added when necessary, without leaving vertical lines and diagonal lines. The table should have a corresponding name and be self explanatory. The contents of the table should not be repeated with the figures and words. The effective digits of the same index number in the table should be consistent.

9. Please verify the accuracy of the citations and data used in the manuscript, and indicate the source. References must be the recent literature that the author has personally read, the most important literature published in official publications, and verified by the author against the original text. Please arrange the document index number in the order of reference in the document, and pay attention to the corresponding number on the quotation place; All the names of Chinese and foreigners shall be described by the method of first name followed by last name.

Format of reference:

(1) The description format of monographs: serial number Author, title, edition (the first edition is not marked), place of publication: publishing house, year of publication, page number.

(2) The description format of periodicals: serial number Author, title, title (foreign language titles can be abbreviated), year of publication, volume number (issue number): start and end page numbers.

(3) The description format of the dissertation: serial number Author. Title: [Thesis]. Storage location: storage unit, year.

(4) Format of patent record: serial number, patent application number, title, country, patent document type, patent number, publication date.

10. This journal is published at the end of each quarter, and the period of using articles is generally about 3 months. We fully respect the author's views on the accepted manuscript, but there are amendments or abridgements. Those who do not agree with the amendments should indicate when submitting the manuscript. Due to manpower limitation, this magazine generally does not handle rejection matters (except for those that have been declared in advance), and the author is requested to keep his own manuscript. The author is not allowed to submit two papers at a time. Any person who has not received the employment notice for three months since the submission date will be dealt with separately.
