Beijing News (reporter Li Yingqiang) On May 16, the Beijing News reported that the toll station in Xijianbei, Linfen, Shanxi could pay less toll without invoices. On May 21, the relevant person in charge of Linfen Highway Branch of Shanxi Provincial Highway Bureau told the Beijing News that according to the screening and comparison of video evidence, more than 20 toll collectors involved were suspended from their duties, four of whom had been fired, and Qiu Wangyue, the head of Xijianbei toll station in Linfen, was also suspended from his duties for investigation.
Previously, Xinjing Newspapers and Periodicals published an article titled "Linfen Xijian North Toll Station is accused of paying less for passing without invoicing, and Linfen Highway Branch is involved in the investigation". The informant Zhang Jin (not his real name) is the person in charge of a transportation company in Henan Province. From April 20 to May 8, several truck drivers of the transportation company recorded 31 videos of Xijianbei toll station passing without issuing a toll invoice and paying less. Several videos show that when the truck passes the Xijianbei toll station, the toll collector tells the toll payable to be 65 yuan or 75 yuan, but as long as the driver says no toll invoice, the toll collector will change his mouth and say 50 yuan.
On May 21, the relevant person in charge of Linfen Highway Branch Bureau introduced that the Discipline Inspection Commission Supervision Office of the Bureau checked one by one according to 31 videos and locked more than 20 toll collectors involved. On May 16, the investigation on the suspension of those involved had been carried out. At present, four of the toll collectors had been dismissed. In addition to the toll collector involved, Qiu Wangyue, the head of Xijian North Toll Station, was also suspended from his post for investigation because of his management responsibility.
According to the truck charging standard publicized by Linfen Highway Branch, the truck weight is calculated from less than or equal to 2.5 tons to more than 30 tons, which is divided into Type I to Type VI trucks, and the ticket collection standards are 10 yuan, 15 yuan, 20 yuan, 30 yuan, 55 yuan and 65 yuan respectively. The relevant person in charge of Linfen Highway Branch said that there was no standard of charging 50 yuan. The person in charge also said that after preliminary investigation, the toll collector failed to charge less according to the weight based charging standard, and there was corruption. The 50 yuan paid by the driver was shown as 30 yuan on the bill printed by the toll collector, that is, 20 yuan was embezzled.
