The Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway is an important intercity high-speed railway serving the Bohai Rim and Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. The line starts from the comprehensive transportation hub station of Beijing urban sub center and ends at the existing Tangshan station in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, with 8 stations in Beijing urban sub center, Yanjiao, Dachang, Xianghe, Baodi, Yutian South, Tangshan West and Tangshan. The total length of the line is about 148.7 kilometers, and the design maximum speed is 350 kilometers per hour. Among them, the Yanjiao Tangshan section of Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway, operated by Beijing Bureau of China Railway, has been put into operation on December 30, 2022, and the Beijing urban sub center section of the second phase project is currently accelerating.
As an important project under construction in the Beijing sub central section of the Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway, the Yunchaojianhe Tunnel is 1.3 kilometers long. It is the last tunnel before the completion of the Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway, and also the first high-speed railway large diameter shield tunnel in the sub central area of Beijing. On December 28 last year, the home-made super large slurry balance shield machine "Jingtong" was launched, with the excavation diameter of 13.3 meters.
"During the construction, the 'Jingtong' shield machine passes through the high dense medium sand stratum, and the north side of the tunneling line is adjacent to the existing Beijing Harbin railway line, with the nearest horizontal distance of only 19 meters. The construction difficulty and technical requirements are very high," said Sun Lijun, head of the Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway Project of China Railway 14th Bureau. Sun Lijun introduced that the Beijing Harbin railway line is in use, with one train passing every 5 to 15 minutes on average. In view of difficulties and risks, the project team optimized the design scheme, adopted high-precision Beidou satellite positioning technology, carried out railway subgrade safety monitoring, strictly controlled the working radius and station position of on-site construction equipment, and ensured no impact on the existing line catenary. They also used all-weather measurement data and digital smart command center to guide the shield machine to move forward accurately and steadily, and control the error at the millimeter level. The design of the shield machine is tailored so that the whole tunnel can be driven at one time without changing the cutter, so as to reduce the ground disturbance and ensure the smooth completion of the tunnel as scheduled.
