From Tsinghua High School to Inner Mongolia High School, I began to look for my own sandwich outside of famous schools

The night before last, I was hiking in the desert. After heavy rain, my classmates slept late. At noon, we changed into new and dry clothes, jumped on the bus, and went to the last stop of the trip - a hotel full of Inner Mongolia style.

The students were very excited when they heard that they had roasted whole sheep. Knowing that I was from Inner Mongolia, my friend couldn't wait to ask me, "Is it delicious?"?

There is a big stage in front of the hotel. Dancers dressed in bright red and green sing and dance along with the grassland pop songs of the last century. The stereo is too loud to hear your own voice. Two roasted whole sheep came out with a red bow, and after they were distributed to the people in front, they were all fat. The food was not delicious, and the students could not eat it. They went out of the restaurant and stood at the door to chat. They talked about how to make good use of the short vacation before Senior Three when they returned to Beijing.

I asked the next student, "What do you think of this song?" He said, "It's not good. The stereo is too big. I'm going to be deaf."

It has been eight years since this happened, but I still remember the shame and inferiority at that moment. When the journey started, everyone said, Li Yin, you are going back to your hometown, and you are going to be our guide. Nobody mentioned it again when I left.

These prairie songs once comforted me when I was homesick. I listened to them again and again in my parents' car and at the bedside before going to bed. Now they have been shown to my classmates in such a vulgar way, and have become part of my last impression in their hearts.

Yes, I will transfer soon. I want to go back to Inner Mongolia No. 7 Middle School (a pseudonym) to study in the third year of senior high school, and then stay in Inner Mongolia for the college entrance examination.

I was afraid that my last impression of my classmates in Beijing was, oh, she went to such a place and disappeared in our world.

New immigrants in Beijing

As a sixth grader, I haven't read Fan Jinzhong Jue, but being admitted to the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University is the first time for me to experience the joy of success in the exam.

On a seemingly ordinary day, my parents were explaining to me why I could not participate in the spring outing, and I was in a temper tantrum. My mother received a text message. She said mysteriously, "I have good news."

I was still angry and thought, what can it be? But looking at her cheerful expression, my heart gradually emerged expectations. Finally, she couldn't help saying, "Tsinghua High School has sent me a message that you have been admitted!" The three of us cheered and hugged together.

In Beijing, every primary school student has to go through a battle called "Junior High School". And we won.

It is the next best policy to divide the areas into different schools. If you want to control your own or your children's fate, you should go to the "pit class" of key middle schools. Pay a sum of money, take some classes, and the most important thing is one or more entrance examinations. People at the top of the ranking will contact you to sign the enrollment contract, and then go ashore.

I failed to enter the class of Zhankeng of the High School Attached to the National People's Congress and 101 Middle School. The High School Affiliated to Tsinghua has taken the exam for three times, and there is no hope. I made a mistake in the exam of a Nancheng Middle School, and was given a short paper, but I didn't find it at the moment. It was a long drive home that day, only silence. After that, my parents went to the headmaster every week, either in theory or in request, just hoping to give me another chance to complete the exam.

"You have to work harder than ordinary people to stay," my father often said. He and my mother came to Beijing from Inner Mongolia to work when I was two years old. It is said that the purpose is to give me a better education and a better future. When they first came to Beijing, they lived in the basement and ate instant noodles. Little by little, they made a living in Beijing with their own houses and cars.

"What makes me different?" I asked. My father said that you don't have a Beijing hukou, but I don't understand what that means at the moment.

The first time I felt the difference was when I collected the vaccine book before the first injection on the first day of the first year. My friend Beijing's ID card is green, and all the information is printed clearly, with colorful animals and plants on the background.

When I was in line, the registered nurse frowned over my vaccine book and whispered, "What is this?"

I watched with embarrassment as she rummaged through my vaccine book, as if she were rummaging through my internal organs in public. The red rubber cover is a bit worn out. All the information is written in ink. Several pieces of yellow paper are folded and stapled together, and the folded places are almost cracked.

The student number of non local registered permanent residence is at the bottom of the class. At my front desk sat a naughty boy with a Jiangsu hukou. His student number was connected with me, so we sat together for many activities and had a good relationship. At that time, I regarded him as my younger brother because none of us had registered permanent residence. Unfortunately, his identity could not be tested in Beijing, so he returned to Jiangsu in the third day of junior high school.

I realize that this system is cruel and can expel individuals at any time. I can continue to take the high school entrance exam here, just because my parents have residence permits, but they also mentioned that I would return to Inner Mongolia for the college entrance exam in three years.

Three years is really a long time for me, so most of the time I don't take it seriously. Or, I don't think I am inferior to my classmates, so I refuse to admit that I am the one blocked by the identity system.

Later, I went to the United States to study for graduate school, lived under the immigration policy of the United States, and chatted with friends who planned to stay in Beijing. I was surprised to find that Beijing has the same strict identity restrictions as other countries. The way to exchange identity is also similar - bind yourself to a large company for several years and rely on the company to distribute accounts. Although I don't have a registered permanent residence in Beijing and will not deport you, the cost of living, children's education, medical care, and housing prices are all roadblocks for my friends who want to stay in Beijing.

According to the American side, I can be regarded as the second generation immigrant in Beijing. But even though most of the students have Beijing hukou and their ID cards begin with 110, in fact, most of them are not old Beijing and can also be classified as such. Many parents are Tsinghua teachers. Most of them were admitted to Beijing from local places, taught at Tsinghua University, and then sent their children to Tsinghua University. Other students' parents, like my parents, want a better life and children's education. They come to Beijing to "drift north" and stay through struggle.

As the second generation immigrants, we have our own culture and living habits in our hometown. For example, I drink milk tea every morning, which is a light pink milk tea made from Pu'er and milk. However, we are also immersed in the educational circle in Haidian, Beijing, assimilated and influenced by it, and have similar life experiences. We have been learning Olympiad Maths since primary school. We are used to going to institutions to apply for extracurricular classes to supplement school knowledge. After graduation, we also choose to study abroad sooner or later.

The world beyond exam taking

The buildings of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University are mostly dark red brick buildings with lush roadside trees and lawns in the middle. Every autumn, the ginkgo on the main road turns golden, which becomes a bright scenery with the high sky and wide clouds in Beijing. The back door of the Affiliated Middle School leads directly to Tsinghua University. If you want to improve your taste, you can go to Tsinghua Canteen to get a card.

We often joke that Tsinghua University is our backyard. Yuanmingyuan is another one, just diagonally opposite the road.

In the school buildings, my favorite places are the library and canteen. The library has two floors. There are many shelves of books, but the space for people is relatively narrow. The corridor only allows one person to pass. I often go straight to the library to borrow old books after class. Old books are dark green hard shells, and the paper is yellow and crisp, emitting a pleasant smell of tobacco. Occasionally, there will be a borrowing date written in blue and black ink on the back cover, which is from the last century. I often wonder where this person is and what he is doing.

The canteen is also an independent building with two floors, including fried vegetables, rolls, snacks, pasta, milk tea and drinks. What I like best is noodles. The slightly spicy soy sauce soup, together with the delicious stewed pork and a few small vegetables, will never tire of eating. Talking while eating, instead of gossiping, story telling was popular in our small circle in those days. No matter what we hear about other people's life stories, or what we see in novels, we will take turns to tell them in the course of lunch whenever they are profound and make us feel something grand, touching and unusual.

Our most troublesome thing every day is that the chili oil splashed on the white school uniform when we ate noodles today.

At that time, I didn't know what anxiety was and didn't have to worry too much. One thing Tsinghua High School is very good at is exam oriented training. The quality is very good.

Our teachers are either Qingbei or graduated from Beijing Normal University, and the younger the people, the higher their education. The teacher himself is Xueba, so he also knows the exam oriented system better, or has many years of teaching experience. Our exercise books are subscribed, but there are also "pieces" selected by the teacher and copied from nowhere. The teacher will teach some useful tips, such as reading and circling keywords. After going to No. 7 Middle School, I realized that most students would not circle while reading, which was inefficient.

In fact, the exam oriented education of Tsinghua High School is relatively fair to the students. Because the resources provided are sufficient, smart students will not be too limited to the shortage of extracurricular resources.

Taking English class as an example, we will regularly read some simple original novels in Tsinghua High School, with rich materials, including science fiction, literature, and even a love story about vampires. Class is all English question and answer. In No. 7 Middle School, the teacher's oral English is relatively ordinary, and the learning method is rote learning. There is a big gap between the students who are qualified to learn English from primary school and those who are not. It is difficult for the Seventh Middle School to shorten this gap, but in fact, as long as we follow the rhythm of teachers, English can reach a basic level.

In addition to the third day of junior high school and the third year of senior high school, other time can be relaxed, do some sports activities or liberal education. One activity after another - sports meeting, school life, student carnival, lectures, spring outings, autumn outings, drama competitions, chorus competitions.

From high school, we can choose an elective course at the end of the day. There are dozens of choices, including all kinds of subjects. The teachers all showed their skills and hobbies. One philosophy teacher opened a drama class because he was a fanatical drama fan.

There are also many college prerequisite courses in basic subjects, which can be said to imitate the American AP curriculum system, so as to give more supplementary knowledge to students who are very good at a certain field.

I chose the literature course that I took in college. The teacher has just graduated from the Chinese Department of Tsinghua University with a master's degree. The textbooks he used were the same as those of Tsinghua University. The content he learned was much more profound than that of high school textbooks, and closer to literary theory. It is this course that has strengthened my confidence in learning Chinese. When I study this major later, it will be easier for me to connect with the ideas of professors in the university.

I also took a biological experiment class. Half a semester is spent in the laboratory dissecting different animals, such as frogs, fish and chickens. The first time I came into contact with dead animals, the skin of frogs was smooth; The fish is very vital and won't be controlled; The chicken was bought directly from the farmer's market, which relieved my guilt.

In the second half of the semester, plants are planted. Oily green buds are cultivated from the seeds, and then transplanted to a small space abandoned after construction in the school. Everyone needs a hoe and a rake to start from the plough. First, bend down to pick up the sundries and throw them away, then rake the soil soft like a mattress, and then dig a hole to bury the budding plants. The planting area is also particular, and the location of ditches and terrain need to be planned to prevent floods. Every time we finish lunch at noon, we go back to our small field and take a walk. My friends and I always joke that we are contemporary Tao Yuanming or Thoreau.

In addition, every school year we also have a "research study" like the desert trip. Although not a serious academic research, the experience itself gives us vivid memories of more different provinces. In Xi'an, people of all grades ride bicycles on the ancient city wall. In Anhui, we eat Maodou, listen to Huangmei Opera and do tie dyeing in small towns.

The richness of experience brings interest, sensibility and vitality to life.

When I was young, I almost didn't dabble in music and had no sense of music. Music classes in primary schools, junior high schools and senior high schools can be said to be an entrance for me to enter the music world. Now when I hear the classical music I learned at that time, I still remember how the teacher explained and described its beauty.

In the second year of senior high school, my friend turned out a beginner's score and named some small playing exercises after different sports. I said, I want to learn this. Please teach me. So we went to the music building every week to find piano practice in the empty classroom. The dark and smooth paintwork of the piano reflects my shadow. I always thought it was elegant, but it was the first time I put my fingertips on the slippery black keys and white keys. If your hands dance like waves, there will be beautiful music coming out. The beauty of appreciation is unconditional, not that you can feel it only when you get a score, but that your heart will tremble when you get close to it.

In fact, its importance was not the most obvious in high school. When I was about to graduate from my master's degree and find a job, during the most difficult period, I heard Yoichi Sakamoto's "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence" in his friend's car. At that time, it was dark outside the car window, and only the elegant piano sound lingered in the car, as if it was scattered in the night through the car window. My heart suddenly quieted down.

The world of appreciation and the world of examination have different logic. It never asks for anything from you, but brings you joy and purity, and even brings you a sense of meaning that can support hard times. In middle school, I was lucky to get the key to open the world.

Perhaps my memory comes with a rose colored filter. But in the national exam oriented education and high-pressure competition environment, this kind of education is undoubtedly different. Why are we different?

For a few years, liberal arts education and educational innovation were still a trend in Beijing middle school circle. The Affiliated High School of Peking University has set up different academies like Cambridge, and students do not have fixed classes but take classes. Xishan Campus of the High School Affiliated to the National People's Congress handed out a tablet to the students, and almost all the assignments were electronic. The Chinese traditional culture education attached to the Second Normal University is particularly good. Students can take calligraphy classes.

Taking the "Yuanpei College" of Peking University as the benchmark, Tsinghua University has also opened a similar Xinya Academy. As the second important educational institution of Tsinghua Department, the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua has also absorbed this idea.

In addition to the concept, Tsinghua High School has the resources to do such things and invest in hardware facilities such as laboratories and stadiums. Like other top universities in Beijing, it is like a master tea picker. Because of its accumulated reputation, it has won the top teacher resources and student resources who are good at taking exams. Because of their trust in the reputation of Tsinghua High School, parents have always been very cooperative with the school's various projects and activities.

For students and parents like me, we are the adaptors of the rules. Through learning about the comprehensive competition of junior high school, we got the ticket of such educational resources. It is difficult for me to evaluate the fairness of this competition. It is a comprehensive competition for information, intelligence, determination, financial resources and examination skills.

Leader training camp

"Today I am proud of Tsinghua High School, and tomorrow Tsinghua High School is proud of me." It is a slogan that I still remember deeply. In fact, I am fascinated by this sentence in middle school. It gives me a sense of grandeur that "generals will be marquises when they go here": today we are just unknown students, and tomorrow we will become great people in the world.

This ambition does not only exist in the slogan, "leader training camp" is its materialization.

In the first week of high school, everyone received a white A4 paper on their desk, which was an invitation letter to the "leader training camp". The letter said that the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University has cultivated many well-known alumni, and in the future, leaders in all fields of the world are among us. The purpose of the "leader training camp" is to cultivate students' leadership.

Interviews were needed to enter the camp, which was exactly the form I resisted most at that time - two minutes of public speech to introduce myself. But the future depicted in white words on black paper is too attractive, and the word "leader" shines on the cloud. At the age of 15, I didn't have any dream, nor did I think it would contact me. It seems that someone passing by the window of the department store late at night is suddenly told that the ribbon sandals with diamonds are related to you, provided that you go through the oil pan once.

Public speaking has always been a torture to me. I would spend hours rehearsing by myself against the wall in my room at night. At the break before the interview, I sat at my desk with a stomachache. However, the word "leader" pulled me from my seat and dragged me through the unlighted corridor to the interview site.

There are nearly 80 people there, all of whom are my peers. I saw the light of the word "leader" on everyone's face and eyes. Everyone complained that they didn't want to make a speech, but the air was still hot. Here, there seems to be no difference between enterprising spirit, utilitarianism and self-confidence. It only means one thing - "Why can't it be me? I'm determined to win."

It can be said that it is a powerful driving force for many people in our grade. I have seen that expression many times - after being frustrated, first I feel sad, with drooping eyes and eyebrows, then I stare at some place to meditate, and finally I firmly lift up and look forward. Then you will know that this person's behavior will change.

In junior high school, the physical education class is to test the volleyball. Throw the soft volleyball in the air, hold it with both hands and use the inner side of the forearm to continuously bounce the ball until it falls to the ground. 30 full marks. We practiced for half a semester, but I was still able to beat a dozen and failed. The teacher said that the exam will be held in the next class, and this score will affect the usual score of physical education, which forms part of the middle school entrance exam.

After class, I borrowed a volleyball from my PE teacher. After school every day, most of the students walked away. I stood alone at the entrance of the stadium, jogging the volleyball alone. One, two, three. Go away from the volleyball. I'll pick it up and throw it into the air. The towering street trees rustled and the sunset came through the leaves. I practiced like this. Gradually, I mastered the skills and became more and more bumpy. But in order not to make mistakes in the exam, I also practiced the night before yesterday and finally passed the exam with full marks.

I was selected into the "Leadership Training Camp" successfully. I got some booklists, such as the "Five Rules of Leadership". I visited some scenic spots, such as Mount Tai. The most famous activity was to receive a State Councilor to visit his alma mater. We sat on our seats, and when the door opened, members and a dozen cameras swarmed in, flashing lights kept ringing. At that time, I always felt that I had seen people of this level, and the future should be good, right?

The rules of selective admission are too simple and direct, and I am used to simple enterprising spirit in exchange for simple achievements and praise. Teachers, parents and anxious public opinion jointly held the ivory tower on the altar, and we will fall from the same height in the future.

I started to look for a job before graduation after I went to college, went to graduate school, and still looked for half a year after graduation. When I returned home, I found a Chinese book at home. When I turned to the "Five Rules of Leadership", I couldn't help laughing at myself. At the beginning, I learned how to manage and allocate resources in the book, but now the recruitment notice clearly says: "We need a good and solid screw.". I am working at the grass-roots level, thinking about which department is a bit redundant and how business processes can be optimized.

They all say that we fight for father in society. I thought we were different - because the platform was high, we could rely on our real skills. Later, it was found that they were still divided into three or six or nine grades by family conditions. Students who were full of fighting spirit in the circle of friends did not send similar posts, because the work was arranged by their parents. The eloquent student who likes talking and laughing went to the civil service exam. Grade one plans to be a senior high school teacher in Beijing after graduation.

Sometimes I feel very surprised. We have the best educational resources in Beijing and even in China. In the ideal, it should be a comprehensive talent to solve complex problems and take social responsibility to expand the market, rather than in reality, doing a job that is good for supporting oneself and overflowing downward to occupy the living space of others.

After the epidemic, looking at the society, I felt as if I was overlooking the Sahara Desert. The economic downturn caused by the epidemic was like the unbearable extreme high temperature after sunrise. People were rushing around like desert creatures, and I also ran away from it. Sand Fox hid under the shelter of the big stone and enjoyed the shade. Reptiles become cold-blooded and attuned to their environment.

Education received during the economic upturn is not a survival strategy during the economic downturn. The environment gets worse and the opportunities decrease. Everyone is trying to survive. Many people say they should be satisfied with finding a job at this time.

"Leader" has become a fairy tale in memory, a paper shelf, and no one told us how to fill it. I took it apart to study what it meant to me, power, creativity, or social equality and social responsibility. Is there any way I can turn it into other channels. Sometimes, I still wonder why I can't see the way forward if I am a leader; If I am not, why does this word enter my life when I can dream most?

I am also trying to accept that I may be just an ordinary person, but the shining word "leader" is always unwilling to disappear.

Senior 3, Senior 7

My first feeling from No. 7 Middle School is that there are many people.

The classroom is larger than that of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua, but it can accommodate more than 70 people, twice as many as before. Three people form a group, three groups in a row. The desks and chairs are piled up in the classroom. Each person's desk has a mountain of exercise books and exercise books. The head teacher placed me in the last row. Listening to the teacher in front is like listening to the gospel coming from heaven on earth. It's foggy but you have to identify it carefully. With so many students, I didn't have time to get to know them in my senior year. Even when I graduated, I could remember half of their names at most.

I am not familiar with self-study in the evening. It is six o'clock in class, an hour and a half of supper time, and then I will come back and continue to sit in the classroom to study. In a classroom of 70 people, even if everyone does not talk, it is not quiet to drop a pen occasionally. The school soon implemented a policy that the top ten students in the last exam would go to a small room and a teacher would provide special guidance for self-study in the evening. I think this policy is funny, but I still go as usual because the cabin is quiet.

The Seventh Middle School is already a good school in Inner Mongolia. It is said that the liberal arts class can have two or three people from Shangqingbei every year, and the science class will have more. Listening to the chat among my classmates, I found that the education in this city had its own circle of "good students". All the students around me have risen up all the way in this circle of schools, so they have many common acquaintances, which are similar to Haidian Middle School circle in Beijing.

mencius ' mother moves her home three times to better her son 's education. Education can be said to be a major reason for Chinese migration. Similar to Beijing immigrants, many students in No. 7 Middle School come from many Inner Mongolia counties and villages around the city. Parents rent houses or live in schools in the city to let their children concentrate on their studies. This kind of family background is something I have never been exposed to among my classmates at Tsinghua High School.

I once had a deskmate who was careless and looked like a boy, and he smiled innocently. Once, it was raining heavily. I went back to school to pick up things at night. I saw her, her mother and her brother eating tin lunch in an empty classroom with only the rear lights on. Her mother's poncho was dripping all the time. My classmates always said that her mother worked hard and she wanted to make money early to take care of her family. It was the first time I heard this idea. Although the former students of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua would also consider their families, they still gave priority to career planning, world exploration and quality of life.

The educational resources mentioned by relatives and parents that are not good enough are not as bad as I expected, especially in the exam taking part. The first round of review is to sort out the textbooks for several years from the beginning, and the second round is to review some topics. The learning content is a little more difficult than that in Beijing, and there are some differences in teaching materials.

I heard that many of the questions were done by students in their first year of high school. I was shocked, "Are you brushing the questions in your first year of high school?" The students said disapprovingly, "Yes."

I just knew that in the seventh middle school, they began to brush questions and study at night in the orientation of the college entrance examination. Hearing this, on the one hand, I felt that I had prepared too little for the college entrance examination in the previous two years, but on the other hand, I was glad that I didn't come back early. Senior three is so lifeless, it will be better to experience it in one year.

In No. 7 Middle School, learning requires more autonomy. Unlike the teachers of Tsinghua High School, they arrange the schedule, plans, materials and review plans for you in every detail. I have to choose my own exercise books, papers and review materials. I often cross the whole playground and run to the office building at the other end of the campus to knock on the door and ask the math teacher questions.

At that time, I often thought, what is the feeling of preparing for the college entrance examination in the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University? Is it a lot smoother. Later, I talked about that year with the students of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University. They all had complex expressions on their faces. It turned out that their overall experience was not good, and they complained to me that the teachers of some subjects could not focus on their lectures. At the end of senior three, the whole class was filled with a depressing atmosphere.

Most of the Beijing students stayed in Beijing. Some people are very obsessed with the northern part of Qing Dynasty. Even if they are admitted to the top ten universities, they will have to repeat the grade for one year. Some people have applied to universities where they go abroad for undergraduate courses.

Some students from Inner Mongolia are scattered all over the country. Most of them went to schools in Inner Mongolia Province. No one in our class was admitted to Qingbei. When filling in the application form, I saw that Peking University only recruited 13 people in Inner Mongolia. Thirteen, I thought, could not be divided. Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is more than ten times larger than Beijing, but its enrollment is one tenth of that.

In fact, this admission ratio does not particularly affect me. I chose Wuhan University, and the students who had the same ranking with me in Tsinghua University also went to Wuhan University. My parents want me to stay in Beijing, but I want to experience the feeling of independence. Wuhan University is famous for its cherry blossoms and vast campus. It seems that the greening is very good, and the Chinese Department is also good. Sitting in an Internet cafe in Inner Mongolia, I clicked my fingers in the middle of the keyboard sound of playing games around, under the gaze of my parents and relatives, and ended my career as a middle school student.

People should not be defined by schools

After hiking in the desert for a whole day, when setting up a tent in the camp, it suddenly rained. My classmates and I got into the tent and raised our arms to support a space. Some students who took shelter from the rain rushed in, and also consciously stood in the corner to become another pillar to support the tent larger. We looked at each other in embarrassment and laughed, saying that we were Pangu who opened the world.

As the rain subsided, someone stepped on the water and spread word among tents. There is a river next to the camp. The school is worried that the rain will bring flood, so we should start now and finish the journey planned for the next day overnight.

When I waded across the river, it was already dark. The heat of the day has faded, and the air is fresh and cool. The sand is shining white in the moonlight. The sand dunes after the rain are solid. Although they also have footprints, they are more like walking on the soil of the city. My legs and shoes are wet, but I don't feel uncomfortable. My best friend is in front of me, and another good boy student is in the back. With their company, I feel that I have only the courage to forge ahead. No one complained, everyone was very excited. The teacher walked from the front of the class to the back to check the status of the students, and reminded us to turn on the flashlight and pay attention to our feet.

Looking forward and backward, the lights of the small flashlight form a string of beads and rise and fall on the sand dunes, becoming a landscape in the night. Occasionally, there is a break or two. It is the flagman holding the purple flag of "G14 Summer Training of Tsinghua High School".

The students of the original team are now scattered all over the country and the world. There are also parties after graduation, but most of them are watching each other's lives in the circle of friends, watching each other do cool things, and offering distant blessings through a praise. If you happen to see a city, you must offer a meal, talk about the difficulties and achievements in life, recall the past, and look forward to our future.

The luckiest thing for me is that I have gained precious friendship with classmates in both the Affiliated High School of Tsinghua University and the Seventh Middle School. Some people are not familiar with it when they were in middle school. They become very good friends after graduation from college. This kind of friendship makes me understand that what my parents said about "contacts" is not the use of each other I imagined before, but the trust in each other's ability and character that has been built through the common youth. People who have never seen you for several years and are far away from you have always cared about you, wanted to know you, and you are willing to pay for them.

It is undeniable that the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua does have better educational resources, but I also gradually understand that no school education can solve all life problems. Like libraries and online courses, school education is a resource, not a life sentence. It should be used instead of worshipped.

People should not be defined by schools.

I didn't understand that in middle school. Later, when I went abroad, I saw that foreign high school students and I were thinking about completely different questions - who I am, which of these subjects I am more interested in, how my relationship with friends is, and what kind of people I want to associate with. In contrast, I myself in middle school, without thinking, strove for the top in the school system and tried to integrate into it. Tsinghua University asked me to be a leader and do student activities. The Seventh Middle School asked me to immerse myself in writing questions. I diligently followed their guidance.

But everything I have experienced has planted the seed of self exploration and independent thinking. What does "leader" mean to me? What does "success" mean to me? In the face of similar difficulties, how do I choose to deal with them?

They said that this school can ensure that you can get high scores in the high school entrance examination. They said that if they were admitted to this school, they would have no worries about their future. They said that this school is an elite education and cultivates top talents. But for me, the day when my life really began to improve was the day when I began to sit down and think about myself.

Writing notes

The first experience of non fiction literature is much more difficult than writing news or essays. The news should ask good questions, and the essays should be true. Non fiction requires me not only to ask questions, but also to answer them, and also to ask questions, pushing me to think deeper.

Although my middle school life has been going on for some time, my friends from my classmates are still active in my life, helping me recall many details. This article is dedicated to the youth we spent together.
