The reporter learned that the total length of the construction line of the Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway is about 148.7 kilometers, and its design maximum speed is 350 kilometers per hour. In the future, after the completion of the Beijing sub central section of the Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway, the Beijing sub central station will be directly accessible from Tangshan Station. The main structure of Beijing Tunnel Section of Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway will be completed by the end of this year, laying the foundation for opening conditions by the end of 2025. After the opening of the whole line, it will take 39 minutes at the fastest time from the sub center of Beijing to Tangshan, Hebei. 2024 is the tenth anniversary of the implementation of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei coordinated development strategy. As one of the major channels to Beijing in the future, the Beijing Tangshan inter city railway is a national strategic project for the coordinated development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei.
The Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway will be constructed in two sections. The Yanjiao Tangshan section of Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway, operated by Beijing Bureau of China Railway, has been put into operation on December 30, 2022.
The remaining Beijing sub central section is 2.4km long. The line starts from the Beijing sub central station, and then goes along the south side of the existing Beijing Harbin railway channel. It goes through Tonghu Road, the ruins of the old city of Lu County, Yunchao River in the form of tunnels, and then goes out of the ground after crossing the second phase of the intercity liaison line. In the future, when the Beijing sub central section of the Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway is completed, the Beijing sub central station will be directly accessible from Tangshan Station.

It is understood that more than half of the total project has been completed for the tunnel construction of the Beijing underground section of the Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway. It is planned to complete the main structure by the end of this year, and strive to be ready for opening in 2025.
Planned 32 days → Actual 16 hours! New technology helps the construction of Beijing Tangshan inter city railway
Recently, the construction of Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway has welcomed another major node, and the steel arch bridge across Tongji Road has successfully completed the launching operation to achieve accurate positioning. Through the optimization scheme and the adoption of new construction technology, the originally planned road closure time was significantly reduced from 32 days to only 16 hours.
The Beijing Tangshan inter city railway is a landmark project to build "Beijing Tianjin Hebei on track". Among them, Tongji Road steel arch bridge spans an important road in the sub center of the city and is the key control node of the whole line. Through the optimization scheme, the whole process time of bridge construction, assembly and jacking operation is greatly shortened, effectively reducing the impact of construction on normal social traffic.

Liu Lei, senior project manager of the Project Management and Preliminary Department of Beijing Tangshan Intercity Railway Company, said that the construction mode of "one bridge and two places" was adopted, and the upper and lower structures were constructed simultaneously. During the construction of bridge pile foundation, cushion cap, abutment and other substructures on the construction site, the superstructure steel bridge shall be simultaneously factory blanking and component processing. The time for factory manufacturing and on-site installation was optimized from 168 days to 65 days. The whole bridge adopts the construction scheme of first transverse moving and then longitudinal pushing. The original plan was to close the road for 32 days. After continuous optimization of the construction scheme, the jacking construction was completed in only two nights and 16 hours.
The successful completion of the steel arch bridge across Tongji Road has laid a solid foundation for the whole line. Fan Dengpu, deputy director of the Railway Engineering Construction Coordination Office of the Municipal Major Projects Office, said that the steel arch bridge adopts a new lightweight design. The dead weight of the bridge is reduced from 4600 tons to 700 tons, and the steel consumption per linear meter is only 11.2 tons, which can save 85% of the steel consumption. This is the first time that sparse suspender truss steel arch bridge structure is used in domestic railway construction.
