Summer legend
The climate is hot and dry, and plagues are easy to occur. In the summer when snakes and insects breed, the Dragon Boat Festival in May is the day when the sun is in the middle of the sky. The weather is extremely hot and is regarded as a poisonous month and a bad day. According to legend, the Dragon Boat Festival was originally a festival for ethnic groups in southern China to worship dragons. In the historical process, it integrated the customs of disease elimination and epidemic prevention in northern summer, and attached the commemoration of historical figures such as Qu Yuan, Wu Zixu, Cao E in the southern region. It was launched in the form of hanging calamus, wearing wormwood leaves, tying five colored lines, bathing in orchids, eating zongzi, drinking realgar wine, and racing dragon boats to pray for good fortune, welcome good luck, and suppress evil spirits and fight disasters.

Double Five Story
The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Dragon Boat Festival, the Chongwu Festival, the Noon Day Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Zhengyang Festival, the Yulan Festival, and the Tianzhong Festival, has evolved from the original sacrificial nature to the entertainment oriented festival in the late Tang Dynasty. In the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, there were records of emperors watching dragon boat races on the Dragon Boat Festival. As the Qing regime was exposed to the Ming Dynasty's rules and regulations before entering the customs, the Dragon Boat Festival, as a representative festival in summer, not only followed the Han customs, but also revealed the characteristics of the Qing regime from festival activities.
