These words are in the end to drag the pace of mainland reunification. The Taiwanese are afraid of danger but not virtuous. The mainland's attack on the "Taiwan independence" forces is actually a good opportunity for the Kuomintang to attack the DPP, but the Kuomintang has no courage to confront the DPP head-on. They only dare to target the mainland, and the mainland will not take them seriously if they are determined. At that time, only Gou Taiming dared to shout in the island: "Both sides of the Taiwan Straits are Chinese, and the mainland military exercises are aimed at the provocative Democratic Progressive Party, not the people of Taiwan." The courage to attack the Democratic Progressive Party is the biggest difference between Gou Taiming and the Kuomintang.

The wrong signals released by the military exercises have harmed the prospects for peaceful development across the Taiwan Straits. We call on the Chinese mainland government to exercise restraint, avoid an escalation of the situation, cherish the achievements of peaceful development across the Taiwan Straits, and jointly safeguard the regional status quo." At the same time, Zhu Lilun also said to the DPP that he hoped that the newly appointed Lai Qingde team would propose a pragmatic and effective response with the most rigorous and responsible attitude. Taiwan's natural gas reserves are insufficient

Taiwan's natural gas terminals are located in Taichung Port, Yong'an District, Kaohsiung, and the Taoyuan Guantang under construction. As long as the closure lasts for two weeks, there will be energy shortage and run on the island, and Taiwan will be in chaos.
