The owner Huang Yu said that in October 2021, she bought a house of about 75 square meters in the community at a price of 630000 yuan. At the end of September 2023, new houses will be delivered as scheduled. After decoration, Huang Yu found two cracks on the wall of his living room in late February this year.

On May 8, Xichang Bangtai Real Estate Co., Ltd. issued the Announcement on Cracks in Walls and Floors of Bangtai Xiyue Mansion (hereinafter referred to as the Announcement): 1798 cracks were found in 353 households during the household inspection from April 27 to 29. Among them, 926 cracks were found on the plastering layer at the junction of the filler wall and the shear wall in the dining room, 368 cracks were found on the plastering layer of the window sill wall in the bedroom, 190 cracks were found on the side and bottom of the structural beam, 93 cracks were found on the structural floor, and 221 cracks were found on the ground of the mortar leveling layer.

On April 25, in response to the previous complaints of the owners of the community on the platform of "asking politics in Sichuan", the Xichang Construction Engineering Affairs Center replied that the staff of the center went to the site on April 23 to verify that there were cracks of varying degrees on the middle wall of the living room wall, and organized the person in charge of the construction unit and the buyer's representative to coordinate. At the consultation meeting, the construction unit arranged the property company to register the households with problems one by one and report to the head office. After the May Day holiday, the construction unit negotiated the rectification process with the owner's representative again, and promised to rectify the relevant problems of each household according to the rectification plan reviewed and approved by the design unit.
It was mentioned in the reply that the Xichang Construction Engineering Affairs Center once urged the construction unit to entrust the qualified Sichuan Academy of Building Sciences Co., Ltd. to detect the cracks on the middle wall of the living room wall on April 10. The official report concluded that the cracks were caused by uneven shrinkage of different materials, which did not affect the safety of the main structure.

Huang Yu said that the owners' representatives of the community had also consulted with the developers for many times, but no consensus was reached. "Now we want to make a new appraisal to understand the real security situation of the house; if it is safe, we hope the developer can compensate for the cracks in the house; if it is unsafe, we want to apply for compensation after returning the house."
On May 17, under the coordination of relevant local departments, the developer and the owner's representative of the community held another negotiation. On the same day, the reporter learned from the Xichang Construction Engineering Affairs Center that at present, Xichang has set up a special work team for this situation, and will actively cooperate with the owner's representative to entrust a third-party housing safety appraisal agency to carry out safety appraisal again.
