▲ After 3:00 a.m. on May 16, there are still people "picking" lobsters in the breeding fields. According to the interviewees
Yao Honglong just stayed up all night to defend his rice shrimp breeding base. Yao Honglong's rice shrimp breeding base is located in Zitong Village, Hesha Town, Chuanshan District, Suining City, Sichuan Province. Because there is a video blogger "fighting wild" to pick up lobsters, and he misinterpreted that "picking up lobsters at random" and "picking up lobsters at all", in recent days, his breeding base has at most two or three hundred people "picking up" lobsters in one night, and the scene was once out of control.
At noon on May 16, Yao Honglong dragged his tired body to arrange villagers to plant seedlings near the field. "Last night, three batches of lobster thieves were caught, and the last batch was dealt with at 5:00 in the morning." He said that he wanted to sleep for a while, but he was in a bad mood and couldn't sleep. At 6:00 in the morning, hundreds of villagers who planted seedlings with the help of the local town government came back.
According to the Hesha Police Station of Chuanshan District Branch of Suining Public Security Bureau, more than five cases of lobster theft in Zitong Village have been reported every day in recent days. Since May 9, the Hesha police station has blocked a total of 5 suspects, imposed an administrative penalty on one, and persuaded more than 60 people.
"I worked hard for a year and watched others pick up the shrimp." Yao Honglong said with heartache. He said that his rice shrimp breeding base had lost at least tens of thousands of jin of species shrimp in the past 10 days.

Social media misinformation“ Pick it up "
"Two or three hundred people come to 'pick up' shrimps one night"
Yao Honglong was worried about the scene that the rice shrimp breeding base was out of control: two or three hundred people came to "pick up" shrimp one night, the roadside was full of cars, and the field lights were flashing. He and the shareholders shouted everywhere, but they could not stop it. After the alarm, the police came to deal with it. The shrimps "picked up" were dumped back into the fields, but more people were not stopped. Buckets of shrimps were stuffed into the cars and left
A lot of shrimps were dug out at the edge of the field. Many people held them in their hands. They carried several buckets and "picked up" ten or more buckets in one night, at least one hundred jin.
In recent days, Yao Honglong and other shareholders did not sleep well. They stayed by the field at night and drove to patrol. In the base of more than 2000 mu, they often care about one thing and lose another. On the evening of May 15, they stopped three groups of people and called the police three times. It was nearly 5 o'clock in the morning after the last treatment. Yao Honglong was finally able to go to bed, but could not sleep. At 6 o'clock, he got up again and organized the villagers to plant rice seedlings. Finally, he didn't sleep all night.
Why are lobsters in the breeding base "coaxed to pick up"? Yao Honglong told the Red Star News reporter that the reason was the misinformation of social media.
Yao Honglong said that the Zitong Reservoir near the breeding base has recently been expanded. On May 1, more than 100 mu of farmland was released to ensure the construction of the project. Because they were busy planting seedlings and collecting land cages, they didn't have time to pick up lobsters left in the fields. People came to pick them up one after another, and they didn't have the energy to deal with them.
However, as the number of people "picking up" shrimps gradually increased, the news of "picking up" and "picking up" became fermented in social media, and more and more people began to pour in. A few days later, after the field that had been vacated due to the expansion of the reservoir was "picked up", the latecomers "picked up" it to other breeding fields.
Zou Songpu, director of the Hesha Police Station, told Red Star News that in recent days, the police station has received more than five cases of lobster theft in Zitong Village every day. In addition to handling the police cases every day, the police have also strengthened patrolling and persuading people to return to the rice shrimp base, but there are still many people coming to "pick up" lobsters.

Breeding base:
Tens of thousands of jin of seed shrimp were "picked up" and lost hundreds of thousands of yuan
Yao Honglong told the Red Star News reporter that the rice shrimp breeding base in Zitong Village covers an area of more than 2000 mu and is usually managed by other shareholders. He also has two other rice shrimp breeding bases in Suining, and usually runs back and forth between several bases. After receiving the news that lobsters were stolen from the rice shrimp base in Zitong Village, Yao Honglong stayed in Zitong Village in recent days and began to watch and patrol with other shareholders
Yao Honglong told the Red Star News reporter that since the beginning of spring, he has "caught the big ones and kept the small ones" and sold some shrimps. Because the ground cage has been removed by planting seedlings and releasing water, there should be about 200 kilograms of shrimps in each mu of farmland. These shrimps are all raised to grow shrimps next year.
▲ Prepare to plant seedlings after watering the breeding field
Yao Honglong said that after the water in the field was released, the shrimp would burrow and hide within a week, and a small number of them would die in the sun. But in recent days, as long as a field is filled with water, someone will come to pick up shrimp immediately. Some people even went to pick up the ground cage in the field without water because it was too slow. At least half of the lobsters in the fields where water has been released have been "picked up", and at least one hundred jin of lobsters in one mu of fields have been "picked up".
"A few hundred acres is tens of thousands of kilograms, and hundreds of thousands of pounds will be lost directly." Yao Honglong told the Red Star News reporter that since the first ten days of May, 700 acres of fields have been put into water for planting seedlings, and these 700 acres of fields have been "cleaned up" by shrimp pickers. He said that this is only a conservative estimate of the direct loss, not counting the cost of breeding next year, and the price of shrimp seedlings may be more expensive.
Yao Honglong told the Red Star News reporter that the 2000 mu rice shrimp breeding base in Zitong Village was built three years ago, with a total investment of more than 10 million yuan. So far, 6 million yuan has not been recovered. Rice planting can only save money, and it depends on shrimp farming to make money. Now tens of thousands of kilograms of shrimp have been "picked up", which makes him and all shareholders sad.
police:
One person has been administratively punished and more than 60 people have been persuaded
According to the Hesha police station, on May 9, after receiving the alarm that more than 10 people were stealing lobsters in Zitong Village, the police immediately rushed to the scene and found that the originally deserted village road was full of cars, and many people were picking up lobsters with buckets in their hands. One of the men was surrounded by the management personnel of the rice shrimp base.
Zou Songpu, director of the Hesha Police Station, told Red Star News that the man came to pick up lobsters with his friends according to the introduction on the video platform, but he thought it was slow to pick up lobsters, so he ran to the breeding pond to pick up lobsters in the ground cage. According to the police investigation, some people found shrimp in Zitong Village at the beginning of May. Influenced by social media, many people rushed to pick up the shrimp. Those who came behind could not find it, so they went to catch the shrimp in other people's farms and took the shrimp in their cages.
▲ Yao Honglong explained "I can't come to pick it up" under the misinterpreted dithering video. Video capture
On May 16, Red Star News reporters noticed that one of the dithering videos released on May 9 said that "there is no end to picking up". Below the video, many people still care about the specific location. In order to dispel the rumor, Yao Honglong also left a message in this video: Brothers, you can't pick up any more. At first, you were allowed to pick up some fields in the middle, but many people unconsciously went out to the breeding area to pick up
But Yao Honglong said that his refutation of rumors did not play a role.
Since May 9, the Hesha police station has blocked a total of 5 suspects, imposed an administrative penalty on one, and persuaded more than 60 people. In the next few days, the Hesha police station strengthened its patrolling of Zitong Village, and at the same time, it published the rumor refutation information on the Internet.
Yao Honglong told the Red Star News reporter that the spread of false information on the Internet caused many people to rush into Zitong Village and eventually lost control. The local villagers who knew about the situation did not go to the fields to pick up shrimp, nor did they do so in the other two breeding bases in Suining.
