Beijing News On May 9, the World Snooker Tour announced the nominations for the 2023-2024 season end awards. He Guoqiang, Liu Hongyu and Jiang Jun, three Chinese players, were shortlisted for the Best Newcomer Award.
He Guoqiang performed well in the first season of the Tour and is currently ranked 66th in the world.He reached the last eight in the British Open this season, and then reached the last 16 in the following English Open and Wuhan Open.
Liu Hongyu beat Sean Murphy, Mark Williams and Ding Junhui all the way to the last four in the English Open, and then reached the last 32 in the Scottish Open.
Jiang Jun, only 18 years old, defeated Fan Zhengyi all the way and Sam Craig entered the trial round of the qualification round of the snooker World Championships after his first challenging season.
