The inner flow gallery will launch the group exhibition "Giant Moving, Body Weightless" on May 4, 2024. This exhibition will take the architectural structure of the gallery as a whole and present the works of nine artists including Bao Rong, Hu Jiayi, Jin Jiachen, Li Zetao, Wang Jing, Xie Kun, Zhou Hao, Zhang Jie and Zhao Yu. The exhibition simulates the illusion of thinking in the face of an unshakable huge system, and the extreme physiological reaction brought by the physical body against the laws of nature. It is hoped that through the creation and thinking of the nine artists, we can trigger our initial feelings at the instinctive level. This exhibition is planned by Chen Yufeng and will open on the May 4th Youth Day.
This huge silent object has many faces and potential forms. It will show one side at a given moment and the hidden side at another moment. Nobody can see the full picture of this mysterious creature from a completely open perspective. It just stands still, but makes people feel the pressure of approaching at a constant speed. It is wonderful, attractive and dangerous, like the collapse of a swamp.
The plane was traveling in a shimmering tunnel, and the darkness for a long time made his sight and consciousness blurred. The ineffective resistance only made him choose to give up control, and the spiritual subject needed to deal with those strange emotions like a trapped animal. A momentary bump made him feel his body again, such as waking up from a dream. He realized that the naked soul was separated from the transferred body, and returned from harmony to chaos.
The story begins
The abrupt visual spectacle referred to by "giant" often appears as a supernatural creation in science fiction movies, reflecting a kind of sublime beauty with a sense of terror. The current technology acceleration, overproduction, and hormone overflow have also led to the birth of many allegorical new giants. We are immersed in these weird filled realities, and the inherent animality of human beings begins to curl up. In a trance state with highly concentrated attention, the spirit is pulled out in a "weightless" way, and the repressed internal emotion tries to break away from the physical body to seek the transcendental dimension, and faces fear and bleakness with crazy passion.
The attitude towards "new alienation" and "naked life" determines the appearance of the current society, and the artists who shuttle in this complex structure have also become an important indicator to measure and criticize social thought. Although individual artists cannot overlook the panorama from the perspective of omniscient, what is valuable is that they can use experience and intuition to break through the original narrative, analyze and judge.
The exhibition will last until June 9, 2024.

Now, he works and lives in Chongqing. His recent research mainly starts with a symptom of "exhaustion", and tries to clarify the reason behind this symptom by dealing with relevant scenes and things: is it a punishment mechanism or a reward mechanism? Is it systematic discipline or performance appraisal? This society creates a state of exhaustion. Will it continue to circulate? Can it stop in a certain state?

Wang Jing
Born in Shanxi in 1996. In 2018, he graduated from Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor's degree, and in 2022, he graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree. Now he works and lives in Chongqing. Works are usually based on nature, and at the same time open the second awareness of life and poetry. Intercept hazy feelings and fragmentary instantaneous memory, and connect with emotion, not only in schema and color. The subtle lines and color blocks that are separated from the image sharply form an abstract form that is difficult to define. Try to touch the depths of irrationality with your own private perspective, and extend the complex thoughts in the extreme daily state.

Now, he works and lives in Beijing. Her works are good at using different media to reflect and solidify the impression of shaping people's personal identity. Part of the strength of the work comes from the incongruity between size and color, and part of it comes from the sense of absurdity and temptation brought by the deconstruction and reorganization of daily mediocrity. Xie Kun's works wander between the grasping reality and another world of fantasy and symbol. It presents a symbol of self extinction. His works are exhibited in the Venice Armory, the Russian National Culture Palace, the Chinese Art Museum, the Imperial Ancestral Temple, the Delaware Museum of Contemporary Art and other art institutions. His works have been collected by White Rabbit Art Museum, Hubei Art Museum, Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum and other institutions and individuals.

His works contain humor, humor and self mockery to express the artist's understanding of the world and present his thoughts on social, political, cultural and human issues. Painting is a media, which links Zhou Hao's relationship with the world and the audience. He is good at directly attacking the essence of the problem by depicting simple and direct pictures. Even some ugly and dirty phenomena show their interesting satirical perspectives in the artist's paintings, thus arousing the attention of the audience to the real problems.

Zhao Yu
Born in 1993 in Yunnan, now working and living in Chongqing. He obtained a master's degree and a bachelor's degree from the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 2020 and 2017 respectively. Zhao Yu's works rely on images and their internal semantics. On the one hand, these images are out of the original context, and there is a sense of dislocation and fracture between images, so a decentralized and non-linear narrative begins to appear. On the other hand, the shape of the image has become an important factor in the visual structure of the screen, because the use of juxtaposition and deconstruction techniques makes it break the single visual and spatial relationship. Zhao Yu has been selected into several painting awards and artist residency projects, including the "Memory Delta" young artist residency project in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 2018, the residency project of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 2020, and the residency project of Huatai young artists in 2023.
