What kind of future people need to be shaped in this era? In the past year, a group of young people with confidence, respect for morality, dedication, hard work and enterprising spirit have emerged in all walks of life, becoming a hot topic. Among them are the anchors of the post-00s games who are active in helping farmers, the new artists of underwater dance who have gone abroad, and the takeaway boys who work for college and save their tuition. This holiday, Nandu and N Video launched a special report on "National Day Return Visit to Endeavouring Youth" to tell their recent situation and future prospects.
Previously, Wang Wei, a 26 year old delivery boy in Xiangyang, Hubei Province, scored 623 points in the college entrance examination, and after checking the scores, he still calmly sent the delivery to attract attention. The reporter from Nandu learned that Wang Wei was admitted to China Agricultural University with outstanding achievements in science in 2013, but he dropped out in 2017. As for the comment of netizens that his story is "very inspirational", Wang Wei once said to reporters in Nandu and N Video that he hoped everyone would take him as a warning while thinking he is very inspirational.
At present, Wang Wei has studied in Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. On September 30, he said that he was more adaptable to the new study life and treasured the opportunity to return to college. "Do a good job of study first, and wait until you have time to do a part-time job." When the National Day holiday came, he did not plan to go out to play. He had already bought a ticket to go home and was ready to rest at home for a few days.
The delivery boy dropped out of school for 4 years and was admitted to Southwestern University of Finance and Economics with 623 points
In the middle of the year, the topic of "take away brother calmly delivers take away after 623 college entrance examination" hit the microblog hot search. The reporter from Nandu learned that the party involved in the incident was Wang Wei, a 26 year old boy from Xiangyang, Hubei. In 2013, he was admitted to China Agricultural University and came to Beijing with his outstanding science college entrance examination results.
Wang Wei said frankly that he had maintained a good attitude at the beginning of his enrollment, but as time went by, he gradually lost interest in his major and studies and lost himself. "I don't know why, but I have no interest and motivation in learning. In 2017, my classmates were admitted to their favorite graduate schools, and the rest of them have found their own satisfactory jobs. I did not graduate successfully, and after two years of ideological struggle, I dropped out of school."
After leaving the campus, Wang Wei worked as a tutor in Beijing, a factory worker, and later returned to Xiangyang, Hubei Province, to become a full-time delivery boy. Gradually, he found that although his life was busy, there was no more purpose and meaning. In 2020, when Wang Wei has saved enough living expenses, he decides to enter high school and prepare for the college entrance examination again.
After eight months of re study, Wang Wei chose liberal arts and scored 623 points in this year's college entrance examination. After the college entrance examination, Wang Wei returned to his take away position. "Several years of delivery work has taught me the hard work and the importance of learning. Until today, I continue my work, but I have not stopped learning. After two months, I will save enough money to be responsible for myself as an adult."
Wang Wei's story has aroused heated discussion among netizens. Many netizens have expressed "positive energy" and "very inspirational". However, regarding the positive comments on the Internet, Wang Wei said to reporters in Nandu that he hoped that everyone would take him as a warning while thinking he was a positive model and very inspirational.
When talking about why he had this idea, Wang Wei said that because he had done "wrong things" in the past, otherwise he would not come back to take the college entrance examination at this time. "I abandoned my studies and didn't study hard, which delayed me for so many years. Later, I learned that education was important after suffering losses in the society."
At the beginning of July, Wang Wei completed the volunteer application, and the preferred candidate was the finance major of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, "but it is not sure whether he will be admitted". At that time, Wang Wei planned to continue working for the rest of the holiday. For his future college life, he hopes to focus on his studies. At the beginning of September, Wang Wei successfully came to Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and reopened his university life.
Cherish the opportunity to return to university, and focus on study in the future
When he first entered the university, Wang Wei told the reporter in Nandu that his greatest feeling about returning to the university after four years was that he had to study hard.
In a twinkling of an eye, the time came to September 30, and Wang Wei had stepped back into the university campus for nearly a month. He told the reporter in Nandu that in the past month, he has been quite adapted to the new study life, the school curriculum is very compact, and every day is quite full.
According to Wang Wei, he gets up at about 7 a.m., washes, eats and goes to the classroom to have classes, and finishes classes at about 6 p.m. If there is no class in the evening, I sometimes go to the library, and my daily life is very regular.
Returning to the university campus this time, Wang Wei will be seven to eight years older than his peers. He once told reporters in Nandu that there would be some pressure and anxiety in terms of age, "but it's OK, not very big". But also because of the pressure of age, he revealed that he planned to complete college education in three years.
Wang Wei's story has been noticed by many people before, and he also said that his roommates and classmates know his story, "but in fact, it doesn't matter, there will be no different eyes."
Although there is a gap in age between him and his classmates, he feels that everyone gets along well, and he is quite in tune with each other in topics and habits. "Although there is a gap of seven or eight years, it is now the Internet age, and there is no gap in communication and no 'generation gap' at all."
In terms of learning, he thinks that his learning ability, understanding ability and acceptance ability are all OK, not worse than "young people".
But Wang Wei also said frankly that when he returned to school this time, what he felt most was that his physical quality was not as good as before. "In the past, the endurance and explosive power were both good, but now they are much worse than before. For example, running and pulling up are not as good as before."
In many communications with reporters in Nandu, "doing a good job in study first" has always been Wang Wei's theme. "In the past, I might instinctively resist and refuse to accept things I don't like. But now I think it is impossible for me to be satisfied with everything and develop according to my own wishes. What I can do is to accept it in my own way and do it well." Wang Wei also said that he would really cherish this opportunity to return to school.
Previously, Wang Wei insisted on delivering food and hoped to save enough tuition by himself. In this regard, he has revealed that his current tuition savings should be able to support two to three years. "Do a good job in learning first, and wait until you have time to do part-time work." He said that at present, there is no more delivery. If you do part-time work, you may also try to find work study programs on campus.
With the arrival of the National Day holiday, Wang Wei has already bought a ticket to go home. When asked about his holiday arrangements, Wang Wei said that he had no plans to go out for fun and was going to stay at home for a few days. "After going home this time, I may have to wait until the Spring Festival to go home again."
