BBC documentary: Seven Years of Life 7UP~56Up

Michael Apt filmed the documentary "7 Up" for BBC TV in 1964, interviewing fourteen seven year old children from different walks of life in Britain, some from orphanages and some from the upper class. Every seven years since then, Apt will interview these children again to listen to their dreams and talk about their lives. Half of my life is wasted. Is it regret, or is it reminiscence of the prime of life. Time will eventually grow old, but life will continue.

It is an amazing great documentary, a miracle in the history of video recording, and this miracle continues. The documentary film of Growth Department has persisted for 40 years without interruption and is produced again every 7 years. In 1964, Michael Apted, a famous director, was still a young man who had just started his career. He decided to shoot a documentary film that reflected British life and western culture. So he interviewed a large number of 7-year-old children across the UK, recorded their faces and voices with cameras, and interviewed them about their current life and aspirations, Finally, 14 children's video collections were selected to produce the 1964 "Seven Year Old Part of Growth Series". However, this cannot stop. Every seven years, Michael Apted finds those 14 children again and records their seven year life history and their different feelings on life changes. The 14 year old, 21 year old, 28 year old growth series has been up to the latest 56 year old. Watching this documentary is absolutely unbelievable. Watching the passage of time, the vicissitudes of life, and the 14 children becoming middle-aged people, every audience will have their own experience in mind.

Michael, the director who has accompanied these children for half a century? Apt also has grey hair on his temples, and "Seven Years of Life" will continue.
