Website construction refers to the use of markup language to transmit information in electronic format through the Internet through a series of design, modeling, and implementation processes, and finally to be browsed by users in the form of graphical user interface (GUI). In short, the purpose of web design is to generate websites.

Simple information, such as text, pictures (GIF, JPEG, PNG) and tables, can be placed on the website page by using markup languages such as hypertext markup language and extensible hypertext markup language. More complex information such as vector graphics, animation, video, audio and other multimedia archives need plug-in programs to run, and they also need markup language to be transplanted into the website.

Website construction is a broad term, covering many different skills and disciplines used in the production and maintenance of websites. Web design, web graphic design, interface design and creation in different fields, including standardized code and proprietary software, user experience design and search engine optimization. Many people often divide into several working groups to be responsible for the design of different aspects of the website.

Web design is the front end (client) of the design process. It is usually used to describe a website. It is not a simple page. A website includes a lot of work, including domain name registration design renderings, layout pages, writing code and other work.
