Google Browser doesn't know when it stopped allowing the use of extensions other than the App Store. Even if you can use it at that time, but still restart the browser, the extension will be disabled. In this case, the extension can't be used normally.

Method 1: Load the extension program through the developer mode

• 1. Change the suffix of the downloaded. crx file to. zip;
• 2. Unzip the modified file to a new folder with a random name, preferably English or Pinyin of the extension program name, for easy identification;
• 3. Open Chrome, go to the extension page, find the "Developer Mode" in the upper right corner, and check it;
• 4. Click "Load the extension program under development..." in the second line, select the folder just unzipped, and click OK;
• 5. After installation, it can be used after setting.
• 6. Every time you reopen Chrome, you will be prompted whether to disable the extension program running in developer mode. Click Cancel to use it all the time.

It is worth noting here that when you unzip it to a new folder, the folder cannot be deleted or edited. Once deleted or edited, the browser will not have this extension.

Method 2: Add the extender white list in the group policy

This method may be complicated, so please be patient and read it slowly.

1. Download the Chrome group policy management template "chrome. adm";

2. Win+R to open the operation, enter gpedit.msc and confirm;

3. Expand Local Computer Policy>Computer Configuration>Management Template, right-click on Management Template, and select Add/Remove Template;

4. Click Add, find the "chrome. adm" downloaded in step 1, open and close the "Add/Delete Template" window;

5. Expand Local Computer Policy>Computer Configuration>Management Template>Classic Management Template (ADM)>Google>Google Chrome>Extender, and double-click "Configure Extender Installation Whitelist" on the right;

6. Click the second item "Enabled" on the left and click "Display" below,

7. Open Chrome, drag and drop the downloaded. crx file to the Chrome extension page for installation;

8. Find the "Developer Mode" in the upper right corner, check it, and copy the ID of the extension just installed;

9. Paste it into the pop-up window in Step 6 and confirm;

Both methods are introduced. No matter which method you use, you can solve this problem. But in the long run, the second method is recommended.
