Introduction to installing Windows system using WinNTSetup

WinNTSetup is a Win7/8.1/Win10 system installation and deployment tool with the largest number of users and the best compatibility at present. It supports installation from XP/win7/8/10 systems, installation of. ho system image files, and system installation in wim and ESD formats. After my own tests, WinNTSetup is definitely a very useful system backup and restore tool. At that time, there was no screenshot of the installation. The following pictures were taken from“ WINOS ”Website.

Note: It can be used under both PE and system. Personally, I prefer to install it under PE.

preparation

1、?? Organize the partition (C partition or other partitions) where the system is installed: the recommended volume is 40GB, the format is NTFS, and the format is recommended.

2、 ? Make a USB flash drive startup disk and prepare a window system image.

3、?? Download System Installer WinNTSetup ； The WinNTSetup interface is as follows:

If you want to install the Win10 system on a bare metal machine without a system, you can first boot to the WinPE system, and then run WinNTSetup to install the system. If Win7 or Win8.1 system has been installed on the computer, WinXP system can also be used, which is more convenient. Run WinNTSetup directly.

WinNTSetup method and steps for installing Win system

Download the Windows system image, and then right click the downloaded image file directly in the Win8.1 system, and select "Load"; If it is in WinPE or WinXP In the Win7 system, you need to use the virtual optical drive tool to load images; Or you can unzip the image file without using the virtual CD-ROM drive. (Generally, PE comes with virtual CD-ROM software!)

2. Select wim The system image file in esd and gho format, and then set the location of the boot disk and installation disk. Generally, you can set the disk to which you want to install Windows.

3. Select the system version, or click the "Optimization Adjustment" button to open the system optimization setting interface.

4. Select Update Boot with Bootsect.exe to update the boot mode.

5. Choose BIOS or UEFI according to your actual situation. If you don't understand, select ALL. If you want to form a dual system or multiple systems with the existing system on the computer, you need to check "Find and add the Windows version installed on this computer";

6. It is recommended to check "Automatically restart the computer after successful installation".

7. Finally, click "OK", WinNTSetup will begin deploying Windows images. As shown in the figure:

The process is a bit long. When the progress is over, a prompt window will pop up, saying "The installation of this phase is complete. After restarting, The Sysprep deployment phase will begin ".

After preparing the device, "Ready" will be displayed, and then you will enter the "Settings" interface that everyone is familiar with when installing Windows 8 and Windows 10.
