On May 24, a villager in Gudian Township, Fengtai County, Anhui Province reported that fecal water discharged from a breeding farm flowed through the uncultivated wheat fields, producing a lot of white foam, and the surrounding odor was fuming. The person in charge of the company who discharges biogas slurry aquaculture sites said that what they discharge is biogas slurry water fertilizer, not sewage. The government staff of Gudian Township said that it was a locally implemented biogas slurry return project, and the discharged biogas slurry water could be used as biological fertilizer. The villagers who agreed to discharge biogas slurry to their own fields would be compensated after signing the contract, and some villagers who did not agree to discharge biogas slurry. The reporter learned from the Ecological Environment Branch of Fengtai County, Huainan City that the staff had been present to deal with the matter, and the results would be announced after the investigation.
