TOEFL application requirements
As mentioned above, there are no restrictions on applying for TOEFL. You can pay according to the process to register the examinee information. However, the TOEFL test is very difficult, so you must have some English knowledge before you apply for the test.
1. TOEFL vocabulary requirements
TOEFL vocabulary requirements are around 8000, higher than the level of CET-6. If you are not eager to go abroad and have enough time to prepare, you should first solve the vocabulary problem. TOEFL test has no age and educational background restrictions. You can take the test as long as you want to register and pay for it. 2. Registration requirements
Before registering, candidates must carefully read the TOEFL Online Test Candidate Manual (Chinese version) published by ETS and agree to all the terms and conditions of ETS regarding the implementation of TOEFL Online Test, test registration and score report, and read the contents and important tips on registration procedures, fee payment, and other aspects published by the TOEFL Online Test Registration Website of the Ministry of Education Test Center, as well as relevant online registration terms.
When registering, the examinee must confirm the authenticity and accuracy of all the information submitted, otherwise you will not be able to obtain the TOEFL online test information and test results. Candidates shall be responsible for the consequences of the wrong information submitted by them. When candidates register, the system will establish a personal account for them to store their personal registration information and test results. The account is controlled by the NEEA ID number designated by the website and the password set by the examinee himself. Candidates should keep their NEEA ID and password properly.
3. Certificate requirements
TOEFL online exam requires candidates to take the exam with a passport signed by themselves or two types of certificates, at least one of which is a type of certificate. Taiwan residents must and can only carry Taiwan residents' Mainland travel permits. Non Chinese candidates can only take their passports for the exam. Personal information such as name and birthday on the certificate must be completely consistent with the registration information. If the examinee does not carry the certificate required by ETS or does not carry the certificate as required, he or she will be refused to enter the examination room, and the examination fee will not be refunded.
Class I certificates accepted by ETS include legal and valid Chinese passports, official resident identity cards (including Hong Kong and Macao identity cards) and Chinese military certificates. The Class II certificates accepted are legal and valid identity certificates issued by government departments, including Chinese passports, official resident identity cards, military certificates, driver's licenses, student cards, and official identity certificates with photos and official seals issued by the student status management department or public security organ of the school where the examinee is located.
The certificates that ETS does not accept include but are not limited to: any expired certificate, any forged certificate, international driving license, international student card, any study card, any credit card, notarial letter (book), social security card, work card (card), any temporary certificate, any photocopy, etc.
TOEFL application process
1. Log in to the official website
Enter the official website link in the browser to enter the TOEFL applicant.
2. Account registration
There are four steps for new user registration: enrollment agreement - fill in registration information - confirm registration information - successful registration
3. Login account
Enter the password and verification code, and click the "Login" button.
After logging in, activate according to the mobile phone number and email number filled in before registration.
4. Payment for registration
Click Payment, just select the first TOEFL exam fee, and click Next to enter the payment interface. Select your own convenient payment method. After payment, start to jump to the registration interface.
5. Sign up for the exam
There are five main steps to register for the exam: seat query - seat reservation - filling in the registration form - confirming payment - successful registration
Click on the lower left corner to register for the exam, and inquire about the test seats according to the time and place you want (TOEFL test seats are usually put up one year in advance). If the test seats are displayed for immediate reservation, it means that there are still test seats left
