Malaysia Simplifies Entry Measures for Chinese Citizens

According to the official Wechat of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, the competent department of the Malaysian government recently implemented the latest regulations to simplify the entry measures for Chinese citizens. From May 2, 2024 to December 31, 2024, Chinese citizens entering Malaysia without visa need to hold the following materials:

1、 A complete and undamaged Chinese passport valid for more than 6 months;

2、 The Malaysian electronic entry card (MDAC, see the attached instructions for specific requirements) filled in online within 3 days before entering Malaysia, and the paper MDAC confirmation letter printed;

3、 Return ticket.

The above measures have been implemented at all border ports in Malaysia. When entering the country, all personnel shall still be subject to security inspection by officials of Malaysia Immigration Bureau, including biometric identification (fingerprint collection) inspection, etc. If they are found on the blacklist or suspect list, they will be prohibited from entering the country.

The Chinese Embassy in Malaysia kindly reminds that when entering or leaving the country, please cooperate with the immigration officials, take the initiative to show relevant materials, truthfully answer relevant questions when being asked by the immigration officials, patiently communicate and explain, and ask fellow passengers or airline staff for assistance in case of communication obstacles. Those who enter Malaysia to engage in study, work and other activities that require the prior approval of the competent department of Malaysia, or plan to stay for more than 30 days, should still apply for a visa that is consistent with the purpose of entry before entering Malaysia as required.

I wish all Chinese citizens in Malaysia a safe and smooth journey!

Instructions for filling in Malaysia's electronic immigration card (MDAC): You can fill in the following website or scan the QR code below.
