"Revolutionaries are always young,

He is like a big pine tree that is evergreen in winter and summer,

He is not afraid of wind and rain,

He is not afraid of the cold... "

This is the classic aria of the opera "Sparks", singing the revolutionary spirit of the Northeast Anti Japanese Army soldiers who have worked hard and continued.

△ On September 3, 2015, the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti Fascist War was held in Beijing. This is the "Northeast Anti Japanese Federation" model troop team for review.

The Sparks is the first opera reflecting the theme of the Northeast Anti Japanese Federation in New China. It revolves around Li Xiaofeng, a female guerrilla of the Northeast Anti Japanese Federation, and tells the story of her growing from a 16-year-old rural girl to a strong anti Japanese Federation soldier, who fought against the Japanese invaders with her comrades in arms, shaping many heroes such as Li Xiaofeng and Lao Li Tou.

As one of the important arias of "Sparks", "Revolutionaries are always young" is a duet between the guerrilla traffic officer Lao Li Tou and the heroine when they meet in the mountains and agree to send Xiao Feng to the guerrilla.

△ On September 18, 2017, actors performed the opera Sparks. On the same day, to commemorate the 86th anniversary of the September 18th Incident, the opera "Sparks" was staged in Shenyang Shengjing Grand Theater.

According to the participants' memories, the author had imagined that there would be a aria here at the beginning of the creation, but old Li Tou was facing a 16-year-old girl, who needed to publicize the revolutionary truth to Li Xiaofeng in an easy to understand way. Thinking about it, the image of evergreen pine trees came out. What's more, this song has a feature that most of the lyrics are sung with one note, and the whole song jumps out completely by the note, which is very happy.
